Ikos Aria

Another wonderful stay at an Ikos hotel after visiting Dassia in Corfu in 2024.

The hotel and grounds are just as beautiful as at Dassia, and sea view probably even more spectacular. We bagged a promo side-sea view room that was actually a great size, clean and comfortable and with a pretty decent sea view once you were sat on the balcony. For non-deluxe guests there are a couple of pool options to choose from. We were travelling without children, but the adults only pool seemed the smallest and most overcrowded of them so we chose the one closest to our room at the recommendation of Erini (who was polite and efficient and ticked all the boxes you want in a check-in experience) when we checked in and coming down after breakfast every day around 9.30 there were loads of beds available and helpful waiters all day bringing water and checking if we wanted drinks.

Food and service are the two biggest selling points of this hotel. We booked 3 of our a la carte restaurant choices before we arrived via the app and the rest via the Whatsapp concierge after arriving with no problems getting the restaurants or times that we wanted, though we do like to eat a little later. We don’t tend to bother with the buffets because the a la cartes are so good, and I would say the one disappointment for me would be the lack of a la carte options at lunchtime with only the Italian open for that. I found the buffet at Ouzo overcrowded and fairly poor. Ikos Dassia has 3 a la carte options at lunchtime plus the 2 buffets. Difficult for me to choose a favourite a la carte from them as they were all fantastic, and the service from the staff in each was great as well. A few names who stood out for us over the course of the week were Tiago at Anaya, Dorela at Oliva, Fabio at Kos and Manuela at Fresco, but there were plenty more whose names I didn't catch, particularly the pool waiters.

Evening entertainment was better than at Dassia we felt, with singers, a DJ or a pianist every evening. Service from the bar staff was great and there are plenty of options to choose from. We enjoyed the white party on the beach and made use of the free shuttle bus into Kos town. My wife booked into both reformer and mat pilates classes while she was there, though she found it frustrating (as I’m sure must the instructor) that people would book and then not turn up, especially with a limited number of reformer beds.

Overall though another great Ikos stay and still worth the 5 stars. We’d definitely come back, and still want to try some more of the hotels in the brand as well.

Athina is an absolute star. Our 6 year old son had 3 superb lessons with Athina and pronounced it the thing he will miss most ! She is so nurturing , calm and has a natural rapport with children. She really gave him confidence. Thank you, Athina! You are a wonderful swimming teacher! Love the Lloyd family

This was our 5th consecutive visit to this stunning resort. Ikos Aria is an experience not just a holiday. When they say all inclusive they genuinely mean all inclusive. Nothing is ever too much trouble, nothing is a problem and you’re made to feel very special from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. The resort itself is simply stunning. Chic immaculate and beautifully maintained. It is on a completely different level to other 5 star all inclusive resorts. The food in every restaurant is exceptional the wine is excellent and the cocktails just wow!!!! What makes Aria so special is that despite its luxury it never feels impersonal. You are not simply another guest or a room number. The staff remember you, welcome you back and make you feel genuinely valued. They create an atmosphere that makes you want to return to again and again. Anthony on the front desk deserves a special mention, he has made every aspect of our stay completely seamless. He handles everything with care professionalism and warmth. He is a perfect example of what makes Ikos so exceptional. It was wonderful meeting up with our dear friend Doukissa who although now has a back room tole still found the time to meet us and share all her wonderful news. Anastasia and Paris are quite simply the king and queen of Ikos Aria their genuine warmth outstanding professionalism and natural ability to make everyone feel special is simply exceptional. We have known Christos and Erinda since 2022. It is such a lovely feeling to return year after year and see true friends who mean so much to us.
Ioanna and Vasilis are also such dear friends that we’ve made, who again welcome us back each year with open arms, their friendliness warmth and heartfelt enthusiasm always makes us feel so welcome. Zuzi, another gorgeous lady who makes Ikos aria so special. We wish her every happiness for her upcoming wedding. We were looked after magnificently around the beach pool by Spyros, Vaselina along with Giannis a truly wonderful new addition to the Ikos team. The buffet restaurant team deserve so much recognition Rizwan, Lefteris, Catarina, Henry and Flavius work so hard and treated us with so much kindness. As were all the staff in all of the Al a carte restaurants notably Anna, Vangelis and George. It is all those little touches, the attention to detail and the feeling that nothing is too much trouble that make every meal such a pleasure. The lobby staff were all great Isik, Jessica and Paula looked after us so well, our glasses were constantly replenished. They work so hard but always serve you with such wonderful smiles. It was also lovely to meet this years new General manager and have the opportunity to enjoy a wonderful conversation and share our fantastic experience with him and wish him every success in continuing to make Ikos Aria so special. Before we discovered Ikos aria we probably used to remember 1 or 2 special members of staff on our holidays but here everyone makes an impression on you and if I could write about everyone I would. So sincerely thank you to everyone. We have come home with another collection of fabulous memories, plenty of giggles and that wonderful feeling of knowing we’re coming straight back next year.
