This is a classic holiday resort set in one of the most unspoilt and picturesque regions of Greece, the island of Kos. Situated on the southern coast of Kos, about 2 km from Kardamena village, it embraces 75,000 m² of lush gardens, blended with the natural landscape of the island and more than 5 km of sandy beach, washed by the warm waters of the Aegean. Macedonia International Airport is about 27 km away.
This family club resort with tropical and peaceful surroundings features a harmonious blend of local style and modern architecture. It provides a lounge/satellite TV room, a bar, free wireless Internet access in all common areas and a bicycle rental facility. There are a total of 292 rooms at this club resort, which welcomes guests in the lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out services, a hotel safe and currency exchange facilities. The resort also features a children's playground and a kids' club.
The rooms are designed in bungalow-style and feature twin beds, air conditioning, an en suite bathroom with a bath or shower, a telephone, hairdryer, safety deposit box and either a balcony or terrace.
Guests are invited to take a dip in the outdoor salt-water swimming pool. Sun loungers with parasols are laid out ready for use, while the nearby beach is sandy. There are motorised water sports available, including waterskiing, windsurfing (licence required), jet skiing and parasailing. Guests can also hire mountain bikes or normal bicycles, as well as play pool or electronic games. The hotel regularly features live music and a child-care service is offered.

Andreas the entertainment was especially helpful and always approachable. The resort is fantastic and the food is 5*. Would highly recommend
You Won’t Be Disappointed
We had a great time here for 10 nights in July as a family of 4 (kids 6 and 11).
The room was very modern and cleaned daily. The lady who cleaned our room (454) was lovely. Only thing missing was some drawers, wasn’t really enough storage for clothes for 4.
The entertainment team were great, my 11 year old played darts, football and basketball with Erwin and Max daily. My 6 year old loved the kids club with Dee and Naeomi. A special mention for the lovely Ellie who both kids loved! The nighttime entertainment was hit and miss. Kids disco was good though.
The food was really good for all inclusive and we tried all 3 a-la-carte restaurants too (Mediterranean (lunch only), Italian (once a week), Greek (as many times as you like)). The staff in the restaurants are kind, attentive and efficient. Pearly was a hit with our kids from day 1! The food at the snack bar (at the beach bar) was hot dogs, burgers or toasties, or you could get a filled roll at the pool bar (cheese/ham). Ice cream only at the beach bar and in the restaurant.
The beach was lovely and you get 30 mins free access to a pedalo (the one with the slide is 20 euro for half an hour). The waterpark is brilliant!
The beach volleyball is sometimes for adults only which can be disappointing for kids who turn up and are turned away and some things just happen without being announced (football/basketball/darts/beach volleyball). A wee announcement for these things 5/10 mins before would definitely be helpful.
My daughter was unwell on arrival and the reception staff couldn’t have been more helpful, thank you!
There is nothing around the hotel but a 5 min bus journey takes you to the lovely town of kardemena. The hotel shop isn’t too badly priced and the lady who owns it will blow up inflatables for 1 euro and even deflated my sons football so he could take it home!
Take an insulated cup to keep your drinks cool. Katerina and Beni were great behind the bar! As were most of the bar staff!
We struggled a bit with the noise from the planes. We knew the hotel was on the flight path but didn’t realise just how noisy and frequent it would be. That aside we would highly recommend it here!!

Excellent stay at Porto Bello Beach Hotel.
Location was beautiful. The hotel was just short of the beach where the water is clear, and there are sunbeds to relax. On the other side of the hotel is a water park which is complimentary when you stay. Additionally, the city of Kardamena is a fifteen minute bus journey away and features lovely scenery, restaurants and gift shops.
Rooms were spacious and regularly visited by the cleaners in which we were provided with complimentary water and snacks. Air conditioning was also provided, as well as a television.
Service was excellent. The staff at the buffet were friendly and cleared our plates immediately after we had finished. Elaine looked after us during our stay and she was very attentive, as well as the rest of the bar staff. Despite this, reception were less friendly and particularly unwelcoming at our arrival.
Noise level was high as the hotel is located somewhat near the airport. However, this did not bother me at all but should be considered when booking.
Overall, staying at Porto Bello Beach Hotel was an amazing experience and I definitely recommend for families as this hotel has everything to keep everybody entertained.
