Mediterranee Hotel

The location is fantastic, on the beach, shops and restaurants and bars within walking distance, 10 mins from the airport and the main town, great for shopping and comes alive at night, the hotel is very clean and calming with great staff, our room with the sea view was to die for, absolutely beautiful, would highly recommend for couples

We are not long back from an amazing ten day holiday and have already booked our return visit. Our inland view room was immaculately clean, as were all areas of the hotel. We stayed bed and breakfast and really enjoyed all the breakfast choices on offer. The food in the pool bar was really good value and tasty too. All the staff were really friendly and very efficient. We were there mid July and the hotel was busy, however we always got sunbeds when we needed them. It's a very quiet and laid back hotel and more suited I think to mature people, couples and maybe families with really young children . No inflatables are allowed in the large pool (which I agree with) as it is too small for them. A child actually got into difficulties whilst we were there and the lifeguard/barman seen him was able to assist him immediately. Only thing I'd say would be maybe a happy hour on one of the bars late afternoon/ early evening maybe an idea... Absolutely no complaints from us, we've had an amazing time.

Our family of four stayed at the Mediterranee Hotel for two weeks in August 2026. We had two rooms next to each other on the second floor, which worked really well for us with two teenagers.

The décor is a little dated, but our rooms were clean, comfortable and had everything we needed, including a fridge, kettle and safe. The beds were comfy, the shower was always hot and the rooms were cleaned every day, with towels replaced regularly.

The only downside to our rooms was their location. We were close to the lift and stairs and opposite the area where the cleaners stored their trolleys and equipment. We were regularly disturbed by guests coming back in the early hours, then woken again at around 7am by the cleaners chatting outside our door. To be fair, we didn't ask to move because it was more important to us to have rooms next to our teenagers rather than risk being on separate floors, so we chose to put up with it. On the plus side, being awake early meant we could get a spot by the pool!

As others have mentioned, people do get up early to put towels on sunbeds before breakfast. We hate doing this, but when everyone else is doing it you don't have much choice if you want somewhere to sit. I'm not sure what the answer is, but perhaps having a pool attendant managing the sunbeds would help.

The pool itself isn't particularly large for the size of the hotel, so we completely understood the rules about no inflatables or ball games. The lifeguard was very quick to enforce these rules. It was therefore a little frustrating that the same approach wasn't taken when some guests were eating and drinking alcohol in the actual pool, bringing supermarket alcohol in glass bottles, leaving bottles around and playing loud dance music through their own speaker. We felt these things had much more impact on other guests, and potentially on safety, than someone using a small inflatable.

I'd also read lots of reviews mentioning the hill the hotel sits at the bottom of. Perhaps it's because we're from Sheffield and are used to hills, but we really didn't find it too bad!

Finally, the bar staff were lovely throughout our stay — friendly, welcoming and always happy to help and we enjoyed the selection at breakfast.

Overall, we had an enjoyable two weeks. The hotel is clean and comfortable, the staff are welcoming and we would happily recommend it, although better management of the pool area and some consideration around early-morning noise would make a real difference.
