This hotel is situated in the new harbour area of Thessaloniki, a bustling hub with great development prospects at the western entrance of the city. The area offers a number of nightlife venues, including the famous entertainment complex Mylos, which offers galleries, theatres, restaurants and live music shows. Conveniently close to the city centre, the hotel is also an ideal base for sightseeing and shopping. Thessaloniki Airport is approximately 16 km from the hotel. This is an outstanding luxury hotel providing comfort and bountiful amenities for business and leisure travellers. Guests can take advantage of a meeting room, gourmet restaurants, an atmospheric bar, a café, a comfortable VIP lounge and other facilities and services that ensure an unforgettable stay. Innovative décor, impeccable service and personalised attention to detail reflect refined luxury and timeless elegance.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Modern, stylish hotel. Room was excellent, plenty of space. Large, smart bathroom with great shower and separate bath. Good storage. Air conditioning effective. Wi-Fi slow at times. Coffee maker and kettle. Small fridge. Comfortable large bed. Room seemed to be very soundproof. Breakfast was excellent. Reception staff were excellent. The hotel is situated about 30 mins walk away from the main restaurant area but a cab is only 4-5 euros. Although a shuttle runs it is only every hour and goes to the main square. One issue for us was that although pool area on the top floor is nice, you have to like constant loud music, not chill out which one would have thought more appropriate. In fact it’s difficult to find anywhere in the hotel where music is not playing. If you want to read or simply relax I couldn’t find anywhere, other than the room, where there was no music
Small point, we had a free bottle of water on our first day expecting this to be a daily service but it wasn’t. Come on Met Hotel this should be standard.
We had a very pleasant stay at The Met Hotel Thessaloniki. The hotel is modern, clean, and beautifully designed, with a very nice contemporary style throughout. One of the best parts of our stay was the rooftop pool. It has a great atmosphere and a beautiful view over the city, making it a perfect place to relax. The staff were very welcoming and professional, and the hospitality was excellent from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety and quality options. In the evening, the rooftop bar is a great spot for cocktails, nice views, and modern food in a stylish setting. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend The Met Hotel Thessaloniki to anyone visiting the city.
We have stayed in many hotels over the years, but The Met Hotel is genuinely one of the best.
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful—modern, stylish, and spotlessly clean throughout. Our room was spacious, comfortable, and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The breakfast was simply out of this world, with an amazing selection of delicious, high-quality food. It was something we looked forward to every morning.
The rooftop pool is another real highlight. It's large, beautiful, and a wonderful place to spend a few hours. Although there are only a limited number of sunbeds, the hotel manages this exceptionally well. They don't allow guests to reserve beds all day by simply leaving a towel on them, and they even offer a proper reservation system, which is fair, well organised, and makes the whole experience much more enjoyable.
What really makes this hotel stand out, though, is the staff. Every single person we met was warm, friendly, professional, and genuinely cared about making our stay as enjoyable as possible. Their kindness and attention to detail created such a welcoming atmosphere.
Unfortunately, I had an accident during our holiday, which meant I spent most of my stay in a wheelchair. It could easily have ruined our trip, but the incredible staff did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable and well looked after. Their care, compassion, and willingness to go above and beyond meant so much to us and turned what could have been a very difficult experience into one we will still remember fondly.
A very special mention has to go to Katharine at the bar. Every morning she welcomed us with the biggest smile, always remembered us, and constantly went out of her way to make us feel special. She is an absolute credit to the hotel, and her warmth and genuine kindness perfectly sum up the level of service we experienced throughout our stay.
The Met Hotel doesn't just offer beautiful facilities—it offers outstanding hospitality. We left feeling genuinely cared for, and we can't thank the whole team enough. We would recommend this hotel without hesitation and very much hope to return one day.
Hotel service very poor, communication poor, bathroom paint dirty, do not keep agreements, very disappointing, 5 stars is a joke.
The hotel is well designed but located inside an old industrial/port, decadent, area. Not nice to walk at night. Abt. 15 minutes walk from the more lively city centre. Parts of the hotel start to need renovation. The reservations department is so-and-so. The reception staff was quick and efficient. Breakfast was good, with very professional and polite staff.
