- The Met Hotel

This hotel is situated in the new harbour area of Thessaloniki, a bustling hub with great development prospects at the western entrance of the city. The area offers a number of nightlife venues, including the famous entertainment complex Mylos, which offers galleries, theatres, restaurants and live music shows. Conveniently close to the city centre, the hotel is also an ideal base for sightseeing and shopping. Thessaloniki Airport is approximately 16 km from the hotel. This is an outstanding luxury hotel providing comfort and bountiful amenities for business and leisure travellers. Guests can take advantage of a meeting room, gourmet restaurants, an atmospheric bar, a café, a comfortable VIP lounge and other facilities and services that ensure an unforgettable stay. Innovative décor, impeccable service and personalised attention to detail reflect refined luxury and timeless elegance.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Location is a 30 minute walk to the city centre but it is not an interesting walk. The hotel provides a shuttle bus to and from Aristotle Square daily. This sets this hotel apart from others. The atmosphere is a little dark but the views from the rooftop bar and pool which provides great music and food though my Margarita came only half full, that was disappointing. The rooms are a good size and the balcony could do with a small table and a chair. The bathroom was also a good size but lacking a shower head and only a hand held hose which was difficult to navigate when washing your hair. The service was incredible but we have had better breakfasts. It was not cheap but not overly expensive.. Would stay again just for the service and the rooftop bar and pool.
The hotel staff stole my jacket from my room after check out and the manager on the desk did nothing about it - other than to tell me I was mistaken.
We had an incredible week at this hotel. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and safety. My daughter had an allergic reaction to nuts at an outdoor restaurant, and the staff promptly and efficiently provided assistance. We are incredibly grateful for their help.
Every person we encountered at the hotel was welcoming and helpful. The lobby’s sleek design was impressive, and breakfast was a delightful experience in the outdoor courtyard. We were fortunate to have Rafail as our waiter, who did an outstanding job. The breakfast was a feast of local Greek flavors.
Our room was spacious and modern, with a spotless bathroom featuring a walk-in shower. The hotel also boasts a beautiful rooftop with a swimming pool.
Conveniently located 20 minutes’ walk from the city center, the hotel offers a comfortable shuttle bus that runs every hour. Parking is available at a low cost within the hotel.
We had a wonderful stay and can’t wait to return next year.
Modern, stylish hotel. Room was excellent, plenty of space. Large, smart bathroom with great shower and separate bath. Good storage. Air conditioning effective. Wi-Fi slow at times. Coffee maker and kettle. Small fridge. Comfortable large bed. Room seemed to be very soundproof. Breakfast was excellent. Reception staff were excellent. The hotel is situated about 30 mins walk away from the main restaurant area but a cab is only 4-5 euros. Although a shuttle runs it is only every hour and goes to the main square. One issue for us was that although pool area on the top floor is nice, you have to like constant loud music, not chill out which one would have thought more appropriate. In fact it’s difficult to find anywhere in the hotel where music is not playing. If you want to read or simply relax I couldn’t find anywhere, other than the room, where there was no music
Small point, we had a free bottle of water on our first day expecting this to be a daily service but it wasn’t. Come on Met Hotel this should be standard.
We had a very pleasant stay at The Met Hotel Thessaloniki. The hotel is modern, clean, and beautifully designed, with a very nice contemporary style throughout. One of the best parts of our stay was the rooftop pool. It has a great atmosphere and a beautiful view over the city, making it a perfect place to relax. The staff were very welcoming and professional, and the hospitality was excellent from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was also very good, with a nice variety and quality options. In the evening, the rooftop bar is a great spot for cocktails, nice views, and modern food in a stylish setting. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would gladly recommend The Met Hotel Thessaloniki to anyone visiting the city.
