This hotel and bungalow complex located in Stalis (Crete) offers its guests a unique brand of warmth, hospitality and friendship. The place has 127 double and family rooms in different buildings and it lies only 200 metres away from a beautiful sandy beach and is very convenient for the entertainment and shopping centre in the village itself. There are several swimming pools (also 2 for children) in the grounds and other on-site amenities include a gymnasium and a hot tub. Guests can enjoy themselves playing billiards and table tennis. Other organised activities include bingo and quizzes. The main restaurant offers Greek and international cuisine, and can organise lunch baskets on request, and 3 bars serve coffee, cocktails, etc., the main bar until late. All rooms and bungalows have individually-controlled air-conditioning/heating and a furnished balcony or terrace, etc.

Family holiday July 2026. I'll start with the positives: The nicest, friendliest most helpful staff I think I've come across. Lovely people. The whole complex is immaculately clean, really impressive. The rooms. Fairly small but very comfortable beds and effective air conditioning. The pool areas are very nice.
Now the negatives, and I have to be brutally honest. The food is so bad I had to eat out on several occasions. I tried an omelette for breakfast once and it was like eating pure salt The evening dishes mainly consisted of some unpalatable cheese or tomato based concoction. There was little variation. The only high point was one night there were some grilled pork steaks. The drought beer on offer goes flat immediately after pouring and is undrinkable. Its odd that a hotel that does all the basic things very well should fail so badly in this area. Would I stay here again? Only if the food changed drastically.

Heaven
Today I had spa treatment at Senra in Katrin hotel and bungalows with Marianna. I opened for the Signiture Olympia treatment.. it was absolutely heavenly! From start to finish I was looked after so well and came out feel really relaxed! If you get chance to book, you wont be disappointed! X

Spa experience at Senra was wonderful and relaxing. Would recommend spending an hour of your holiday with the team.
A little bit of paradise in Crete
We had a lovely week at Katrin hotel. The reception staff were extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay - nothing was too much trouble! The location is ideal, just a short walk to the beach and plenty of lovely bars and restaurants to enjoy there. Bus stop a few minutes walk so was easy for pickups for excursions we did.
Food throughout the day was delicious and fresh, great authentic Greek food as well as more traditional buffet style options. Plenty of variety for a weeks stay. We especially loved George at the restaurant who made us smile everyday.
