Alai Crete

I just departed from this incredible hotel! I arrived after a long 2 day journey and felt like I was being welcomed into someone's home. Everyone at reception was very kind and very helpful. Upon arrival I learned I received an upgrade and could not have been happier with my room. The beach is beautiful. I left breakfast each day convinced I had gained 10 pounds in one sitting. The property manager was at reception when I arrived and gave me great advice and help choosing the best room possible. Dimitrios the manager chatted with me several times during my stay and told me exactly where I should I eat each night-he was right! Stella who cleaned my room each day and not only made my room impecable but was also a joy to talk to. She has the biggest most welcoming smile! The hostess at breakfast Krizel (I think that is her name) was in her first few days of working and yet she seemed like a pro-outstanding. So...obviously I recommend this resort!

What a brilliant hotel this is! The look and aesthetic is very appealing and all facilities we encountered were cleaned to a good standard.

The room was great, lovely toiletries and fresh towels everyday, sometimes twice a day but we didn’t always require the second servicing of the room. There were a couple of maintenance issues such as the air con monitor was hanging off at one point and we had a couple of power cuts but both were repaired very efficiently.

We were on a bed and breakfast rate and there are plenty of options available. If an item of food was running low, this would quickly be replenished. We ate an evening meal and had a few lunches at the hotel too. All food we ordered throughout our stay was up to a great standard as were the drinks.

The facilities are great although the gym could be bigger and some of the equipment either didn’t work or needed maintenance but towels and water were on offer for free. There is also an area in the lobby with complimentary biscuits, granola bars, fruit, coffee and alcoholic drinks. The pool area is well maintained and you have direct access to the beach. Beach/pool towels are provided.

The service is fantastic. Every member of staff we encountered said hello when we passed by. All looked happy to be there and are friendly and helpful. Special mention to Nadja, Maya and Irini. Lovely people! Also the gentleman who we dealt with a few times and who checked us out on our day of departure, unfortunately I didn’t get his name but we checked out on Saturday 4/7/26 around 8.30am - his customer service is excellent.

Overall a fantastic hotel in a great location. Supermarket and pharmacy opposite with plenty of bars and restaurants within walking distance. I would 100% stay here again!

This hotel is absolutley fabulous. We have just returned from spending 8 nights at Alai Crete and we didn't want to come home! Great beachfront location with a supermarket right opposite, plenty of bars and restuarants all along the sea front to choose from. Hotel was spotlessly clean, staff work so hard to ensure you have a great stay. Our room was great, bed very comfy, there is air con and a celing fan. As others have mentioned in thier review it was a little unusal to have the sink in the bedroom and not in the batheroom but we soon got used to it. Our room was made up everyday. The pool area is really nice, there was a pool bar and the sealai bar which did drinks, cocktails and food all day. The staff take your order from your sunlounger and bring your drinks which includes the loungers on the beach too. Special thanks to Irini and Maya who worked tirelessly all day bit all the staff were great We stayed on B&B basis, breafast was nice, the usual as in toast, fruits, yogurt, pastries etc and more traditional greek breakfast items (feta cheese, fish etc) there is also bacon, beans, mushrooms, sausgaes (although the sausgaes are not what we are used to in the UK more hot dog sausages) all the eggs are freshly cooked to order. (Which were amazing!) We had a great holiday and would definatley return to Alai crete!!!!!
