A place really worth staying
We’ve visited the hotel 3 times so far (2024,2025,2026). One summary? A place really worth staying if you are looking for a home base while exploring the island of Crete with excellent staff and management.
If you are looking for a small hotel for adults with no kids, no fights for sun beds and quiet atmosphere, this is the place to stay. We had different rooms, all facing the pool. Both room size (especially bathroom size) depends on where you will be located, but the rooms are more than enough. AC works like a charm with different modes and controllable temperature, rooms are cleaned every day, fridge is working. What else do you need when you either want to have an early start into your day of exploring by car, a chilled out day at the pool or you just want to relax after a day of exploring at the balcony with your love?
Food is very good - variety is more than enough, but don’t expect to be amazed every day - is more than enough for reasonable people with no expectations of all-inclusive resorts that you never leave. Options available for people that are vegetarians or want to eat healthy, but you will also get your fries and meat :)
Supermarkets - both larger and small corner shops are close, beach is literally 2 mins away for a nice sunset just before dinner.
Our heart goes directly to Mathenia - the restaurant supervisor, the whole reception desk staff, Petros - the waiter and Sofia, the general manager. Everyone is so helpful that you will feel like at home.
You will not be disappointed - especially if you will explore.

Great experience
Very comfy city hotel, with amazing food and great stuff. 10/10
Outstanding hotel
Stayed for 2 weeks during July. Hotel is in a great location peaceful but only a few mins walk from the beach and 15 mins walk to the harbour and old town. Staff were all great rooms and grounds unbelievably clean. Great pool area. We stayed half board but only ate breakfast in the hotel and it was of a good standard. We ate out every day restaurants in the area were all outstanding. Highly recommend this hotel and area of Crete easily one of my favourite places.

A wonderful stay – and an amazing team!

We had a wonderful stay at Atrium Ambiance Hotel. The hotel is beautiful, very clean and well maintained, and the pool has a lovely, comfortable water temperature – perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring Crete.
What really stood out for us, however, was the staff, especially the team at breakfast and dinner. Everyone was genuinely kind, attentive and professional. You never have to look around for someone when you need something – they seem to notice immediately and are there to help with a smile.
A special example of this happened one morning at breakfast, when I had a little accident and managed to spill coffee all over my favourite pink bunny dress. 🐰☕ The way the staff reacted was absolutely fantastic. They immediately took care of the situation and arranged everything so that my beautiful dress could be cleaned. What could have been a very upsetting start to the day was handled quickly, kindly and professionally. So I can officially say that the Atrium team deserves five stars for crisis management too! 😊
A very special thank you to Eleni and Sophia from the restaurant team. Both of you are wonderful – friendly, attentive, always smiling and truly an asset to the hotel.

Beautiful friendly hotel
We had a fantastic stay at your hotel. Lovely clean room with pool view although balcony was very narrow. Breakfast and supper buffet was great with lots of variety. Thanks to all the staff who were always welcoming, especially Petros. Our first visit to Crete so thank you! ☀️
