Incredible à la carte Greek Oregano restaurant – authentic traditional Greek and Cretan food with a fantastic combination of regional flavors, typical local spices, and an unforgettable taste experience full of wonderful surprises. The service was professional, warm, and highly informative – many thanks to Christina, Panos, Alexis, and Yiannis for an outstanding experience. Our only regret is that we didn't come sooner. The buffet in the main restaurant offers a lot of food, but this Greek restaurant is a pure experience in itself. A huge thank you to the kitchen for an experience worthy of a Michelin star.
What a beautiful resort! Staff are incredible, location is superb and the hotel facilities are 5 star. Both on site restaurants Oregano and Jasmine served the best Greek and Chinese/Asian food I have savoured. Special mention needs to be made to the experienced staff at the Oregano restaurant - Christina Panos, Yiannis and Alexis provided us with an amazing dining experience. Lastly Vangellis at the Pegasus bar is quite possibly the best barman on the entire planet - what a lovely bloke who looked after us throughout our entire stay. If you look pass the rocky beach (which wasn’t great) this was a great hotel resort and one we wholeheartedly recommend !
What a wonderful experience. Everyone here was very welcoming. It is clear they love what they're doing. People are not ghosts or inconvenience to them. The staff is always smiling, ensuring you feel welcome. We have likely seen the director on many occasions too, taking special interest as well.
It's a recently delicately renovated hotel. The regular rooms may seem small, but a family of four have comfortably fit without any issues. It's just for sleeping anyway. The windows insulate the late night music just fine. The rooms are very clean. I have also never seen a more friendly, smiling cleaning staff.
It's located directly at the beach, which is part pebbled, part sandy, but the entry into the sea is very quick.
Absolutely worth the money spent. We have been previously at a different hotel chain but this hotel was a better experience in everything.
There's a small military airport nearby, but it's mostly out of operation. If you do see a plane, it's really more of a sight rather than a bother.
What I have to really accent is the food. The food here, the variety, the quality, the deliciousness...never seen it anywhere else. You're usually fed up by day four with the monotonous choices, but not here. Each evening has a special theme and it was such a welcome inclusion. Hats off to the cooks nailing perfectly cuisines which are not local and special thanks to the beautiful Efi for running the show so well.
We stayed at this hotel with our family in July. It is presented as a 5-star property, but unfortunately it did not meet our expectations. The room looked recently renovated, but it was very small. The bathroom was impractical, with the sink placed almost next to the toilet. The shower tray looked dirty, and the air conditioner had no remote control, so we had to get up at night to turn it on or off. The food was average. You will not go hungry, but the selection is simple and often repeated. Breakfast and lunch were almost the same every day, and the drinks were disappointing as well. There were no proper juices, only water with mint and lemon in the morning, and later mainly sparkling water, soft drinks, or alcoholic drinks. The beach area was also disappointing. The sun loungers are quite far from the sea, and the rocky entrance makes it difficult to enter the water without coral shoes. The red flag was up almost all the time, even in calm weather. We did not see any lifeguards, and most of the staff seemed to be around the pool. There were enough sun loungers on the beach, but by the pool it was hard to find one unless you came early. Many loungers were reserved with towels from the morning, even though no one used them for hours. The water slides were one of the better parts for children. The two tube slides were enjoyable, but the two body slides were uncomfortable because the plastic joints hit the skin. One slide was also closed during our stay. Another disappointment was departure day. It was not possible to extend the room, even for an extra fee, so we had to wait until around 9 p.m. without a private room to shower or use the bathroom properly. Unlike in some other hotels, there were no public shower facilities for guests after check-out, which made the last day very inconvenient.
A wonderful hotel on the seashore with beautiful landscape. Everything around the pool and throughout the hotel is thoughtfully designed for your comfort. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, and everyone will find something to do, from sports grounds to water slides. The entertainment team is wonderful, athletic, and has a fantastic daily program. The hotel is a 10 out of 10.
