We had a wonderful stay at this magnificent establishment. The staff were very friendly and attentive. A big thank you for this extraordinary experience and for the generous service. Thank you to Ameli for recommending excursions outside the hotel. We will gladly return to this hotel.

Lovely all-inclusive resort in south east Crete
Ostria is a beautiful, all inclusive resort. It looks to have been recently refurbished as the rooms and public areas are pristine and clean. The buffet restaurant has a fabulous selection of Greek and international foods and the dessert counter was amazing. I have taken off one star from the rating as there were a couple of things I think they could have done better. (1) there is charge of €6 per day to use the gym. After paying so much for two rooms this seemed unnecessarily "penny pinching" of them. We have never been to a resort like Ostria (think IKOS, Mitsis, Melia, Sani) where there has been a charge for gym use. It just seems so unnecessary. When we queried this with the front of house staff they said they'd get the manager to speak with us, but we heard nothing from them during our stay and the charge was on our final bill. Again, if you say you're going to do something then you really need to follow through on that promise. (2) for an ultra-all inclusive resort it really does seem rather "cheap" not to stock the fridge in the room with at least soft drinks. Every time we wanted a soda we had to walk to the bar and bring it back in a paper cup. If Ostria want to be compared with the other high-end all inclusive resorts in the region this would be an easy and quick win, because they all do this. All-in-all a great week in the sun in a lovely resort and with a few easy to rectify issues Ostria could be mentioned in the same sentence as the "big boys" mentioned above.

Great holiday in beautiful Crete
This resort is architecturally stunning and spotlessly clean . Yes there are more French guests than other nationalities, but it didn’t stop us enjoying our lovely holiday to Crete.
Room was great & spacious we had a swim up room and had sun on the terrace from 11am till 7pm.
Entertainment was good, we had to search it out though as didn’t seem to be wildly publicised. I think the French guests may have an app!
A couple of points we did find is because you aren’t greeted and then seated in the main restaurant, sometimes you have to try and find a table which isn’t always easy at busy times, and then because of this sometimes you get missed and don’t always get a drink offered, we were berated/ shouted at by a young waiter for clearing a table so we could sit, I didn’t appreciate the way he spoke to us!
My son used the gym every day and it was additional charge of €6 , would have been great if was included in the all inclusive & also the the fridge wasn’t stocked, we got a bottle of water in our room each day and that was it!
Generally we did find the staff here not as friendly as other Greece resorts we’ve been to , maybe its hotel policy not to interact with the guests so much!
The food on offer was of a good standard, would have been nice to have a theme evening occasionally in the main buffet restaurant as the two Al a Carte restaurants are very similar so a variation would have been welcomed! We dined at Thalassa which is the paid for restaurant and food was good, staff were friendly and lovely. Something to note the Coffee at breakfast was really terrible but can get a better one at coffee shop by main reception also an iced latte which was nice!
There is an adult only bar which was good but a great addition would be a piano bar in the main reception which is a lovely space but not utilised enough.
All In all resort is great and we had a lovely time. Would highly recommend.

Great Hotel and Holiday
This is the second time we have had a holiday at Ostria. There have been changes made since our last visit two years ago, to both the resort and entertainments programme. Both the resort and entertainments remain at a very high standard. The service from all the staff is excellent, the food quality very good and the resort is in very good condition. We felt the White Night was better as a BBQ and that the Gala Night Entertainment was not quite as good as our last visit. Having said that, we plan to return in 2027 and I would not hesitate to recommend this resort hotel to you. A fantastic holiday - Thank you
Good but wouldn’t book again
The hotel is very picturesque and spotlessly clean, and the grounds are beautifully maintained. However, there were a few disappointments during our stay.
It was very easy to get lost around the resort, and it would really benefit from having more maps showing the way to the pool, gym, and main restaurant.
Having to pay extra to use the gym was disappointing. The food was okay but nothing special. There were basic options like chips and pasta, but overall it wasn’t the best selection I’ve experienced. I was also disappointed that there wasn’t vanilla syrup available for coffee or baked beans at breakfast, as these are fairly common options.
Another downside was the sunbed policy. You can only leave your towels on a deck chair for 10 minutes, which isn’t enough time to go for lunch and come back. As everything is spread quite far apart, carrying towels and a beach bag back and forth becomes tiring and inconvenient.
Overall, it felt like there were a lot of unnecessary hotel rules that took away from the holiday experience and made things less convenient than they needed to be. While the hotel itself is beautiful and very clean, these policies affected our overall enjoyment of the stay.
