Very nice location, friendly hotel staff. Hotel needs some maintenance and room service sometimes a bit slow. All in all a great place.

A Beautiful Hotel with Amazing Food and Wonderful Staff, but Some Serious Disappointments

The hotel itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful surroundings, a gorgeous sandy beach, and exceptional food. Unfortunately, several issues significantly affected our overall experience.

First of all, there is very little entertainment or activities available when the weather is cold and rainy. The swimming pools are also quite cold — the water is actually colder than the sea! It would be great if the hotel offered more activities and entertainment for children, especially on days when the weather is bad.

However, the biggest disappointment was the unpleasant damp, musty smell coming from our bed. This really ruined our overall impression of the hotel. We asked the staff to replace the mattress, pillows, and duvets, and they kindly did so. The new mattress, pillows, and duvets were clean, comfortable, and of good quality, but unfortunately, the smell remained. It was coming from the bed frame itself, not the bedding. It was absolutely awful and completely unacceptable for a hotel of this standard. Despite the staff’s willingness to help, the problem was never resolved. We were told that there were no other rooms available, so we had to put up with the unpleasant smell throughout our stay.

Another disappointment was the coffee. At breakfast, the coffee was always barely warm. The barista prepared several cups at once and lined them up on the counter, so by the time the coffee was brought to our table, it had already cooled down. We also ordered Irish coffee at the bar several times, but it was always served cold because they used ice-cold whipped cream. A properly prepared Irish coffee should be warm, so this was quite disappointing.

On the positive side, the food was absolutely outstanding! Every meal prepared by the chefs was delicious. The desserts were not only beautifully presented but also incredibly tasty. The fresh fruits and vegetables were excellent, and the overall quality of the food in the restaurants was exceptional. We truly enjoyed every meal.

The sea was crystal clear, and the sandy beach was absolutely gorgeous. Another lovely detail was that sun loungers on the beach were free of charge, and the hotel provided fresh, clean beach towels every day. We really appreciated this service. Only the large covered beach beds in the front row required an additional payment, which was perfectly reasonable.

I would also like to give special recognition to the housekeeping staff. The housekeeping ladies were absolutely wonderful! They did an excellent job cleaning our room every day and paid great attention to even the smallest details. Everything was always spotless, tidy, and beautifully maintained. Their care, professionalism, and attention to detail were truly impressive, and we really appreciated their hard work. It is important to emphasize that the unpleasant smell from the bed had absolutely nothing to do with the quality of housekeeping — the room was cleaned exceptionally well. The problem was clearly with the bed frame itself.

A very special thank you also goes to the reception staff for their incredible help when our daughter developed an earache during our stay. They immediately helped us find a doctor and arranged a taxi for us. The taxi driver knew exactly where to take us, which made everything so much easier. The doctor examined our daughter and prescribed the necessary medication. Afterwards, the taxi brought us safely back to the hotel. Amazingly, the entire process — from leaving the hotel to seeing the doctor, getting the medication, and returning — took only about an hour!

We were genuinely impressed by how quickly and efficiently everything was organized. When your child is unwell in a foreign country, this kind of support means so much. The reception staff made a potentially stressful situation incredibly easy to handle, and we are truly grateful for their kindness, professionalism, and care. This was an excellent example of outstanding customer service, and we will always remember it.

The hotel staff in general were very friendly, helpful, and willing to assist, which we truly appreciated. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, they were unable to solve the most important issue with our bed.

Overall, this is a truly beautiful hotel with fantastic food, a wonderful beach, excellent housekeeping, and genuinely caring staff. The exceptional assistance we received when our daughter needed medical attention was particularly impressive and deserves special recognition.

However, the persistent damp smell from the bed seriously spoiled our stay. For a hotel of this level, such an issue is simply unacceptable. No matter how beautiful a hotel is or how delicious the food may be, guests should be able to sleep in a fresh, clean-smelling bed.

With better attention to room maintenance, warmer swimming pools, more entertainment for children, and improvements to the coffee service, this hotel could offer a truly exceptional experience. It has enormous potential, and there are many things we genuinely loved, but unfortunately, the unresolved issue with the bed prevented our stay from being as wonderful as it could have been.
