Memorable Getaway
Our stay at Domes of Elounda was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we arrived until the moment we left, we felt genuinely cared for, and it is this level of hospitality that truly sets this resort apart.
Even before our arrival, the team showed how attentive they are. We had requested a suite on a higher level, and they kindly accommodated our request, allowing us to enjoy even more spectacular views throughout our stay. It was the perfect start to a wonderful holiday.
Although our flight arrived late in the evening, the team had thoughtfully prepared dinner boxes for us so that we could still enjoy a lovely meal after check-in. Likewise, on our departure day, when we had to leave very early in the morning, they surprised us with breakfast boxes to take with us. These thoughtful gestures made a huge difference and perfectly reflect the genuine care and attention the staff show every guest.
The resort itself is absolutely beautiful. The private beach is simply stunning, with crystal-clear, calm waters, breathtaking views across Mirabello Bay, and a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. It was the perfect place for our family to unwind and enjoy the beauty of Crete.
We also appreciated the excellent recommendations from the concierge team. On their advice, we booked a day excursion with Crete Experience Safari, which turned out to be one of the highlights of our holiday. It was a fantastic way to discover the authentic side of Crete, with breathtaking scenery, charming villages, and unforgettable experiences. We are so grateful for this recommendation.
A special thank you also goes to the amazing breakfast team, who made every morning such a pleasure. They were incredibly kind and attentive to our son, always welcoming him with genuine smiles and making him feel special. Those little moments meant so much to us as a family.
We would also like to thank the wonderful housekeeping team, who kept our suite spotless every single day. Their attention to detail and consistency ensured we always returned to a beautifully clean and comfortable room, allowing us to fully relax throughout our stay.
Every member of the team greeted us with a smile, kindness, and a wonderful sense of humour. They made us feel less like hotel guests and more like valued friends, always taking the time to chat, laugh, and ensure everything was perfect. We truly felt spoiled throughout our stay.
A very special thank you goes to Maria, Petros, and Rena, who were simply outstanding. Their warmth, professionalism, generosity, and genuine enthusiasm made our holiday unforgettable. They consistently went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and they are a true credit to Domes of Elounda.
From the beautiful surroundings and exceptional service to the thoughtful personal touches, every detail exceeded our expectations. It is the people who make this resort truly extraordinary, and every member of the team should be incredibly proud of the experience they create.
We left with wonderful memories and absolutely no complaints—only gratitude to the entire Domes of Elounda team for making our family holiday so special. We sincerely hope to return one day.

Lovely break
We stayed as a family here with our 7 year old daughter. Arrived very late after a delayed flight, super quick check in and some food and drink in our room waiting for us.
The entire stay was lovely. The staff are very attentive and the service is good, rooms are cleaned twice a day. We are at most of the restaurants (we should have booked some before we came but didn’t realise) the buffet is very good quality. Core, the seafood and the Italian restaurant are great and worth a visit.
Pool and beach also lovely, didn’t struggle to find a sunbed. The golf carts transport you around the hotel, we went during the World Cup and there was never for more than a few minutes for one, even later on.
We visited Plaka and Eloundas too, both nice - there are buses but they don’t run frequently. Both nice towns to visit.
All the staff make a real effort with the children too.
We aren’t usually the people to return to a resort, but Domes was very good and we would consider returning here!

Guest Services fail
When I book a hotel I expect my accomodation to look as it does on the hotel marketing so I was very dissapointed to arrive late in the evening to accomodation that looks absolutely nothing like it is advertised.We had booked a room with a private pool and it was old and tired with one tiny wardrobe with not even full length hanging space.We stayed for 11 nights as 2 adults and one child so needed to be able to fully unpack but there was no storage and it felt messy and cluttered.There was also no proper shower in the bathroom and only a hand held attachment half way down the middle of the bath so when you "showered" the floor was absolutely soaking resulting in mopping up with piles of towels. The private pool access was also not ideal as you had to leave your room by the main door and take your room key to get back in...a very strange set up!we visited reception to request a room change and simply requested a proper shower and storage to unpack and had to visit a total of 5 times over 3 days before we were offered another room.During this time not once did we receive a call to update us or get to speak to a manager and it was hugely dissapointing that this is how a hotel of this standard deals with guest issues!!I stay in alot of hotels and appreciate that things can go wrong but it is how the hotel deals with the issue that sets them apart and on this occasion it was an epic fail and if I had not been so insistent I am sure our request would simply have been ignored.We were eventually offered another room which was a great improvement but again was old compared to the rooms that are advertised but we were just happy to be able to unpack! Overall the hotel is beautiful and the setting is spectacular but the standout is the staff especially Dimitra in Thalos who was fantastic.We also loved the beach bar and restaurant and the food by the family pool was also great.We visited Makris on one evening and felt that the service there was forced and robotic compared to elsewhere in the hotel which was a shame.We had a great family holiday and it is just a great shame that the issue with our room was not dealt with to the standard that it should have been.
Lovely stay with my daughter
Taking a holiday for a week alone with my 13 year old daughter for the first time and I’m pleased we chose Crete and this hotel in particular. Alongside the setting and facilities, the staff made it extra special for us. In particular I wanted to recognise Lambis who made our daily time spent on the idyllic beach so enjoyable. Nothing was too much for him and he was super friendly. We will miss him making each day so much fun and so relaxing when we leave. Rena on reception and Eleni in guest services and Magda at Core restaurant also made us feel so excited about our stay and so well looked after. The hotel is well served by a number of restaurants and the spa is very nice. It would be great if the wet spa area could be available as part of the room rate. The treatment I had was really nice. The hotel also has an outdoor gym, tennis court and teen playroom with pool table etc. There is a water sports centre offering all sorts of fun activities and I also made use of the group fitness activities that were included such as Pilates and Yoga. Our suite was really well stocked and the terrace lovely. The only fault found was that, having reported an issue with the bed and then with the hot tub, I had to follow up on more than one occasion to remind the reception to notify maintenance as it was not actioned. This meant we didn’t really get to enjoy the hot tub during our stay. A small issue in the overall scheme of things. I’d return to this hotel and recommend it which says it all.
