A perfect setting for a perfect vacation in Greece, this hotel is situated in the beautiful small traditional fishing village resort of Elounda, located on the shore of Mirabello Bay just north of the famous town of Aghios Nikolaos which is just a short drive away. For a break from the beach day under the sun, tourists can visit the small island of Spinalonga with its ruins of an ancient Venetian fortress. Set amidst colourful Cretan gardens, the whitewashed bungalows slope away from the unobtrusive main building down to the private sandy cove and mirror the original intention of the owners to create a 'hotel for couples'. When the day of swimming in the sea, soaking up the sun or exploring the sights is over, guests can unwind with a drink on their own private balconies or step out for a delicious authentic dinner in one of the tavernas nearby.

Relaxing and unhurried
We had a wonderfully relaxing October holiday in Aquila Elounda Village. The hotel is in a beautiul location with great scenic views into all directions, has an enjoyable sea lagune for swimming or snorkeling and overall a lovely peaceful, unhurried and positive atmosphere. The staff is very attentive, friendly, knowledgeable, chatty and seemed genuinely interested in their guests. Great breakfast buffet with everything that you could wish for. Nice wine and cocktails in the bar and restaurants. We had buffet dinner once which was ok, the dinner at Mirabello A-la-Carte restaurant was tastier and better value. Most of the time we had one hot meal per day in a restaurant in Elounda or Plaka with good food choices. The Spa in Aquila Hotel offered really enjoyable and very effective massages and other body and face treatments that we didn't try out. Again the therapists and staff at the Spa were very attentive. We enjoyed the company of fellow travellers of all (adult) ages from all over the world who contributed to the nice atmosphere in the hotel. It's a 30 minutes' walk away from Elounda village square but the hotel offers a free ride into Elounda or Agios Nikolaos every morning.

The staff at a Elounda Village is wonderful. Everyone is extremely helpful, accommodating, and friendly. We felt most welcome. My massage with Sofia was lovely.

Fabulous hotel
Thoroughly recommend this hotel. Beautiful setting, wonderful views and relaxing areas. Spacious room. Peaceful but with the right amount of things to do and take part in with evening entertainment and daytime fitness. Food was really good and great service. The spa is worth a visit and I enjoyed a lovely massage from Sophia.
