Lyttos Beach Hotel

Had an amazing experience at the spa, Amelia's hands were wonderful. The resort is breath taking, clean, the staff is very professional and helpful. The pools are everywhere and so much fun. I highly recommend and will come back next year!

We had a great stay overall and created some lovely family memories, but compared with our previous 5-star holidays, especially at Lyttos Beach, we felt the service at this hotel fell short of what we expected.

On arrival around midday, we were simply given a map and asked to take our own suitcases to our room because no bell staff were available. While we understand that this can happen occasionally, it wasn't the welcome we would expect from a 5-star hotel.

The drink service was also self-service throughout the buffet restaurants. At the waterpark pool, guests were helping themselves to cups, with children touching many of them, which felt messy and not particularly hygienic.

Before we left, while waiting for our taxi, we noticed broken glass on the floor near reception. I informed the reception staff so it could be cleaned up, but even an hour later it was still there. This was disappointing, especially as it could have been a safety hazard.

The food was good with plenty of choice, although the presentation didn't quite have the quality or attention to detail we usually associate with a 5-star resort. I especially love baklava, but unfortunately it was the worst I've ever had ,very dry, with only a tiny amount of nuts so that was a real disappointment.

We had also expected the two themed restaurants to be à la carte, but they were buffet-style and queues were horrendous.

Another small frustration was the cabanas around the main pool. Many were reserved with towels for hours, yet often sat empty for half the day. It would be much fairer if unattended towels were removed after around 30 minutes so other guests could use them.

The highlight of our holiday was definitely the animation team. They were absolutely fantastic and worked incredibly hard to keep everyone entertained. A special thank you to Romeo and the Bingo man( sorry forgot his name), who were brilliant. Our daughter absolutely adored girl with braids from animatio and still talks about her. The evening shows were excellent, and the kids' club was a huge success our daughter loved it so much that she asked every day if we could go back.

Despite our concerns about the service, we still had a wonderful family holiday and made some great memories. However, because the level of service didn't meet our expectations for a 5-star hotel, we're not sure we would choose to return.
