This hotel is built in Cretian village style and consists of several buildings surrounded by magnificent gardens. The sea is just across the road, and a small bathing cove is located near the hotel. The nearest beach lies about 100 m away. Análipsi lies 1.5 km away and Chersónissos can be reached in 6.5 km. The tastefully furnished rooms at this modern hotel ensure comfort for their guests. The well-tended outdoor complex features both seawater and freshwater swimming pools, each with children's paddling pool. Guests can also cool off with a refreshing drink from the poolside snack bar. Sports enthusiasts will be thrilled with the tennis and basketball courts. Travellers can enjoy all their meals in the main restaurant which is set up in buffet style with a variety of Cretan, Greek and international cuisines.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We have just returned from a week here and was brilliant!
We found the food lovely, as picky eaters we always found something to eat. The asian snack bar was incredible! Aswell, we loved the variation of cocktails and drinks. If something wasn't on the menu the bar staff would make it such as a hugo spritz!
We had a swim up room, and it was perfect! Mini bar topped up every day, housekeeping staff was so lovely and would do anything to help!
The only couple of issues we had was on the last couple of nights, a scraping noise on the wall behind our bed which kept waking me up. I contacted reception and they came to sort it straight away. Another small issue was ants in the room, but not too many for me to complain.
The entertainment was very chilled, but we loved that. Gave us time to actually spend together as a couple and enjoy the music together. Top points for the beach party, that was a brilliant night!
Overall, we would definitely return, and we had a wonderful holiday. I'd recommend to anyone!
We stayed at this hotel for a week at the end of June. We booked this hotel as we have a teenage daughter and did not want to go to a hotel where there would be younger kids. It looks exactly as it does in the photographs, to which we were delighted as it looked and felt luxurious.
On arrival to the hotel we had to download an app to aid check in, which annoyed my husband as it was early hours of the morning. We still got a physical key for the room so in our opinion, downloading the app right at check in served absolutely no purpose, it could have been done at our leisure.
On entering our triplex room, we were disappointed. It was very small and we felt it lacked privacy as the shower door was a pane of glass that you could see into sitting on the bed or on the sofa bed. We hung a towel over the shower door to aid privacy while showering. Our daughter was in a sofa bed and there was just no where to sit and chill out in the room - we just had lie/sit on the bed if we wanted to sit in the air-con. The terrace did have 3 seats which meant we could all sit outside together, which we did each day after coming back from the pool. Also, not much storage, no drawers except a drawer in the dressing table and 6 hangers, however we did request more which the hotel happily accommodated.
We did complain to the Management regarding our room, they offered us another room halfway through the holiday, which we accepted. They also offered us a larger room at Stella Village (which has bigger accommodation as a hotel designed for families with children) but we did not accept as wanted to stay at the resort we booked. The new room was the same size but the shower (door still a pane of glass) was positioned differently which afforded a bit more privacy. Eirini, the Manager was very accommodating and the customer service afforded to us was excellent.
We found the hotel to be very nice, clean and modern. It felt and looked luxurious. We thought the food was excellent (plenty selection) but I think the drinks selection could be better - limited cocktail selection (in my opinion) but we visited one of the bars in the town as was nice to get out and about.
One thing we would have liked was ice cream. It's not the type of hotel that you get an ice cream through the day to enjoy at your sun lounger to cool down, you could only get a sundae in the Ble bar, which was lovely but didn't want to eat one every day. So we ended up buying ice lollies from the shop in the hotel.
We got 2 nights a la carte - one night at Ocean and one night at Bel. Both very nice! We also did a trip to Heraklion. There is a bus that picks you up at the hotel and takes you straight to the bus station. We did some light shopping and had a really nice ice cream at Chillbox!
Overall we had a great time! The staff were extremely accommodating and because of the excellent customer service we received we would return to this hotel, but as a couple. We felt that the set up is mostly set for couples and didn't really have anything to accommodate children in the age category of 12+, and the rooms are very small. Perfect for 2, but not for 3. Eirini went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed our stay and every member of staff we engaged with was helpful.
The Gold Standard of Hospitality – The Best Holiday We’ve Had in Years
Every now and then you experience a place that completely restores your faith in genuine hospitality. Stella Blue Seaside Resort is that place.
We’ve been fortunate enough to travel to many beautiful destinations over the years, but I can honestly say this has been the most enjoyable, relaxing, and memorable holiday we’ve had in years. The facilities are stunning, the food is exceptional, and the atmosphere is pure paradise—but what truly makes this resort extraordinary is its people.
There are hotels with beautiful rooms, and then there are hotels with beautiful souls. Stella Blue has both.
From the very beginning, Manos, the manager, made us feel like honoured guests rather than just another booking. His warmth, professionalism, and sincere care for every single person staying at the resort are something you rarely encounter. He doesn’t simply manage a hotel—he creates an experience. It’s clear that the incredible culture throughout the resort starts with his leadership.
A heartfelt thank you to Maria at Nomad. Every visit was filled with warmth, kindness, laughter, and impeccable service. She has an incredible ability to make every guest feel special, and her smile alone brightened our days.
To Michael at Bleu, thank you for consistently delivering service that deserves recognition. Friendly, attentive, professional, and genuinely passionate about what he does, he helped turn every meal into a memorable occasion.
And to the entire Anima team—what can we say? Simply outstanding. Every member of staff went above and beyond without ever making it seem like an effort. Their kindness, positivity, and attention to detail made us feel genuinely cared for every single day. It’s impossible to name everyone individually because every interaction was exceptional.
What impressed us most wasn’t just the luxury of the resort—it was the heart behind it. Every smile was genuine. Every conversation felt personal. Every member of staff seemed to take real pride in making our holiday unforgettable.
Leaving was genuinely emotional. We weren’t just saying goodbye to a hotel—we were saying goodbye to people who had made us feel completely at home.
To Manos and every member of your incredible team, thank you for reminding us what world-class hospitality truly looks like. You haven’t just given us a holiday; you’ve given us memories we’ll treasure for years to come.
Without question, this is a place we’ll return to, and one we’ll recommend to everyone we know.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ If Tripadvisor allowed ten stars, Stella Blue would deserve every single one.
We went as a group of ladies to celebrate a birthday and found this a perfect hotel. The grounds were pretty and the whole complex very clean. The food was fresh and very tasty particularly in the themed restaurants. The bedrooms were very comfortable. The whole staff were fantastic so welcoming happy and helpful. We did have a few requests and the team did their utmost to accommodate them. The relationship manager and admin/reception manager were personable and so helpful. We were welcomed by smiles every day from all the staff. The entertainment team were also very friendly and welcoming. We loved our stay at Stella Blue and recommend it without reservation. Thank you for making our holiday memorable
Me and my partner booked a swim up for 1 week and we loved the hotel. The hotel is probably one of the most aesthetically pleasing establishments that we have stayed.
We went for a swim up room and was not disappointed. The room was a perfect size for a couple with coffee, tea facilities and a mini bar that is replenished daily for this room type. The rooms and hotel in general is spotless and I would like to shoutout Monica from housekeeping, she couldn’t do enough for us!
Our only slight issue was the food / drink. The breakfast and lunch time options are great, I love the 3 options at lunch of the two ale cartes or Buffet, we particularly loved the pool ble bar. Dinner however was focused heavily on sea food, of which me and my Partner do not eat. We spoke to other non sea food eaters who also said they struggled.
The biggest issue for me though was the lack of accessibility to drinking water. One bottle was placed in the mini fridge everyday, however, the only way to get water all inclusive through the day was to ask for cups of water at the bar. Bottled water is not included, there is also no existing hydration stations / fountains throughout the hotel as far as I’m aware. The water provided at the bar was often served in plastic cups that looked like they had hardly been cleaned, often with black dirt swimming in them. I don’t think I got served a clean cup of water once. I had heard that you could go to reception and request bottles of water but when I did, I was told to use room service, so pay €8 to get a bottle of water?
The local alcohol brands are also overpowering and quite poor.
