Sentido Apollo Palace

Really enjoyed our stay here other than a couple of minor gripes with the room.

Check in was easy - luggage taken to our room on a buggy where we also got a brief tour of the hotel (it was pitch dark but still helpful) plus a packed lunch (sandwich, wrap and some fruit)

After we got to our room we downloaded the hotel app and used this to book the 3 à la carte restaurants - looked like they are booked 3 days in advance based on our experience. They are an Italian, more traditional Greek and a bbq style. All really nice but there aren’t a huge number of options on the menu. There are some options which aren’t included in the AI and you can pay extra for if you want to. Wasn’t an issue for us and we all found things on every menu included in the AI which we liked.

Main restaurant is fine, think there are theme nights - we saw seafood and Asian but think we missed others going to the à la carte.

Pools are ideal, one adults only, one with 3 slides, the main one at the reception is quite deep for kids and then the pool near the slides is shallow for half the length and then deepens quite quickly.

Sun beds were a bit hit and miss, some days we seemed to get them easy and other days there were none. Noticed a lot of the usual situation with towels on beds and no sign of people near them. Beach towels are available from the spa next to the pool and can be swapped every day with no deposit.

Main highlight was the guy who leads the aqua aerobics at the pool. His energy and enthusiasm was incredible. I never participated but still watched every day in awe 😂

Room was cleaned every day, sometimes early, sometimes late afternoon.

There’s also crazy golf for €4 each. Safe to say it’s seen better days but still fine and passed an hour

Location is great, right next to the beach and the river where most boat trips go from. We used the measonghi travel centre for a few things - it’s also right next to the hotel. We used them to book a coach to Corfu town and to hire a boat, both really straightforward. We also done a boat trip with captain Homer who is also just round the corner and highly recommended

Now the gripes - our quadruple room was a lot smaller than others we’ve stayed in for a family of 4 and lacked storage space, only 1 wardrobe with a few hangers and no chest of drawers which again we’ve been used to in other places. Not the end of the world but we like to get unpacked rather than living out of suitcases. Other issue is the shower/toilet isn’t a separate space, well it doesn’t have a proper door. The toilet itself only has a cubicle style glass door with a gap above and at the side. Just felt it lacked privacy for the toilet as a family of 4.

Again probably wouldn’t put most people off but just wasn’t ideal

All in all a lovely hotel where a slightly different room would have made this a perfect stay

The place is simply wonderful. There are not enough positive adjectives to describe the kindness of the whole stuff, from reception to kitchen, from cleaners to animators, drivers, everyone deserves 5 stars! The rooms are super clean, spacious and full of comforts. The location is ideal to reach different areas of the island. There are 5 pools to satisfy every needs: from adults who seek quietness to kids who want to have fun. There is a gym, a spa, a mini golf and beach volley pitch. Every evening entertainment for the guests without being invasive. Mini club plenty of activities for the little ones. We celebrated a double family birthday and the general manager, Spyros, together with the whole stuff and the chef Asterios prepared a lovely family party with a delicious cake, which turned to be a great surprise. Absolutely great value for money. We were sad to leave.

We have had a fantastic holiday - in particular the Enterainment staff & Kids club staff have been wonderful - shoutout to Bena, Rosie & two more I cannot remember there name I think it’s Rigi? And the lovely girl with the lip ring. All of them made my little boy so welcome and had so much fun with them. Always making sure they keep the kids entertained and included.

The atmosphere is relaxed and there is so much for the kids to do.

My son’s favourites were the water polo, football and the kids club activities.

The hotel is clean and the pools are fantastic - we were situated in a brilliant a lot next to the Italian restaurant.

The food choices at restaurants were good I would have like a little more range of choice at the beach food bar but other than this it’s been a wonderful relaxing holiday and Thankyou to the staff who have made this so enjoyable and memorable.
