Ivi Mare by Louis Hotels

The Ivi Mare has excellent facilities and staff. Every member of the hotel worked tirelessly to make sure we had a superb holiday. Cleaners, bar staff, restaurant staff, life guards, reception staff and management were all excellent resulting in a well run and spotlessly clean hotel. This is our second visit and it didn't disappoint.

Just returned from our second visit to the Ivi Mare and we not disappointed. The Reception staff made everything easy from the moment we arrived to the moment we had to leave. They all (Anna, Evi, Natalia, Ellada, Svetlana, Antriana and Kristiyan [apologies if I have spelt your names incorrectly]) were only too pleased to help with booking restaurants and taxis for us. I cannot praise them too highly as they are a wonderful advertisement for this hotel. The housekeeping team were excellent ensuring that our room was cleaned daily to a high standard and that the towels were replaced with fresh linens. We stayed on a bed and breakfast option and were delighted that the range of foods available for the first meal of the day was as extensive as our previous visit with foods from all around the world as well as Cypriot delicacies - no one could go hungry as all tastes are catered for (including the option of a glass of sparkling wine!). We ate in the Palettes main restaurant on our first night. There is a different style of buffet food served each night, Italian was on the menu for our meal. There was not just spaghetti and freshly prepared pizza but other Italian dishes including pancetta pork which was delicious. There was also an extensive range of salads and sweets. We also dined in the in the Fiki Japanese restaurant, as we were on a B&B basis were were al la carte for this meal and found the menu to be wide ranging including sushi, sashimi, gyoza, Japanese "spring rolls" as well as bao buns and wok dishes. We were absolutely stuffed by the time we has finished and could not take advantage of the sweets menu! We ate at the snack bar on a every day and although this menu is small we managed a different dish each day. The pool is enormous and very clean with a constant depth which we found great for a 50m resistance wall (we are getting on and are not very fit)throughout and allowed for undisturbed enjoyment. The sun beds need a special mention, possibly the best sun beds I have every had the pleasure of encountering. In fact I had a number of conversations with tourists passing on the the promenade about how good they were - most were very jealous! All in all we had a great break and would not hesitate in recommending this hotel to all.
