Leaving here tonight and have enjoyed my stay. We stayed in hotel which had everything you need. The room set out was good.
If you want to join in the activities you can and there's no pressure to join in. Rezhan who does the activities is good and definitely worth trying the Wellness/Stretching which is held in a morning followed by aqua airobics and darts/boules.
The evening entertainment was good. Was such a pity that England were playing but all the acts performed with 100% enthusiasm.
Rooms were cleaned daily with fresh bedding and towels every other day. Hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. There was plenty of food with wide variety which was hot and for me is very important.
Paphos Gardens is well situated and handy as there are shops selling everything you need very close by. It's a pleasant walk to the harbour or you can catch the 611 bus for €3 return.
Definitely stay here again in Paphos.
Lovely hotel with some great entertainment and facilities. The staff are polite and accomodating. The room was a good layout and food good. The aqua aerobic instructor also coordinated darts, french boules and yoga style sessions. He was an assett as he changed the pool music to some old school R and B and disco from the original "Birdy song" 🤣🤣
Overall Impression Having just returned from a 10-day holiday at Paphos Gardens, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel, especially given some of the negative comments I had read beforehand. Arrival and Accommodation We arrived at the hotel late in the evening and were welcomed by a very friendly receptionist, who kindly provided us with water and something to eat. Our room, located in the main building, was spacious and very clean. We did experience an issue with the air conditioning, which the maintenance team checked several times. Although they were unable to fix it, we were moved to another room the next day with no hassle at all. Pool Area The hotel has two large pools, with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas available. Even as a large group, we had no difficulty finding enough beds together. Service Maria at the Oasis pool bar deserves a special mention. She is a real credit to the hotel—always friendly, welcoming, and smiling. Food I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. For an all-inclusive buffet, there was plenty of choice, and the standard was better than expected. Each evening featured a different themed menu, which kept the options varied throughout our stay. Breakfast was also very good. Location The hotel is well located, with several restaurants within a short walking distance. Namaste Indian Restaurant was excellent and is well worth a visit. The harbour is approximately a 15-minute walk from the hotel. If the heat makes walking uncomfortable, there is a convenient bus stop just across the road, outside the Alexander the Great Hotel, and the bus service is excellent. Final Thoughts All in all, it was an excellent holiday, and I would definitely return.
This was our 2nd visit to Paphos Gardens Resort. We had 2 studios located the Violetta Building VI102 & VI103-Griound floor arriving on 27th June-departed 8th July. On an All inclusive Basis
When we arrived we noticed that our daughter/and boyfriend studio VI103 did not have a functioning air con unit
Our studio VI102 ran out of hot water after the 1st shower- reported to reception and within 2 hours it was resolved :-) Then our aircon unit started to leak-reported it and it was resolved within 2 hours :-) (The 3 issues above were dealt with in a professional manner and extremely quickly-Thank you to Yiannis and his team of staff)
ACCOMODATION We had a fantastic view of the Oasis pool as out studio was a ground floor poolside studio-fantastic location, no issues with sunbeds at all The accommodation is basic and has a typical Cypriot traditional style feel (not white gloss)but very clean, our rooms were attended to each day, beds very comfortable, kitchen appliances were spotless (we didn't need to use these)
FOOD/DRINK A great choice of food with ample varieties to choose from. Freshly cooked meat and pasta dishes each day in front of you. Also a full buffet selection which included salad, pasta, fish, vegetables, meat etc as well as a selection of bread and bread rolls . I can highly recommend the steak, chicken and carvery as well as the pickled red cabbage. A good variety of cocktail's were on offer
STAFF From when we arrived to check in to when we left all the staff were amazing Yiannis the manager did all he could to accommodate our needs along with (Tovas? apologise if i have the tame wrong) The lovely security man that took us to our rooms at 1am was very pleasant as was the reception staff were veery accommodating., Maria at the Oasis pool bar was amazing, she was very friendly and even remembered us from our previous visit and knew our drinks order (I think i drank the hotel out of Bucks Fizz lol) The lifeguard at the pool was hilarious too and made an effort to talk to people. All of the staff went above and beyond and for that reason we will return for our 3rd time soon.
The only recommendations I would have is to have a handle on the outer of the patio doors and for a mechanism to stop them from autolocking if they slam shut - not an issue for us as were were ground floor -This is not a criticism, only a suggestion as we did witness one family above us get locked on their balcony, however as we were there we were able to report it for them and it was resolved.
1 criticism-possibly the entertainment needs looking at but that was just us-we normally headed out on an evening anyway to see other places
All in all a fantastic holiday and thank you once again to all of the staff at Paphos Gardens
Please do not be disheartened by the negative reviews on this site, for this hotel. It is fantastic. We were warmly welcomed by the receptionist at a very late hour and he made sure that we were fed and hydrated despite the arrival time. Our room was basic but spotlessly clean and had everything that you require for a comfortable stay.
The grounds are beautiful and well tended, the two pools are big and there are plenty of sunbeds to go around (there were twelve of us in our party and not once were we fighting for space or sunbeds around the pool). Maria at the pool bar is forever smiling and chatty and she is a credit to the hotel.
The food is what you would expect for an all-inclusive but it was plentiful and the choice was extensive - breakfast is very good and there is plenty of table seating. There is a different themed menu every night and there was always something delicious to choose from. The drinks are also very good.
So the hotel gets no complaints from me.
The location is also very good - there are a lot of restaurants within 5 minute walking distance, I particularly recommend the Namaste Indian restaurant, we ate there twice.
Fifteen minutes then into the harbour where there are all the restaurants, shops, bars and street performers that you can shake a stick at, and the atmosphere down there in the evening is fantastic. We particularly enjoyed Steve's bar (excellent cocktails) and Theo's restaurant where we had a spectacular meal - the fish and steaks in particular were excellent.
Would recommend a boat trip day out - we booked directly with "Venus" - The captain was a hoot and made sure we had the best day.
So all in all a 10/10 experience for me, if I were to have one niggle it is that the beaches were a bit patchy, small and rocky - but we got two buses to Coral bay (took about 30 minutes - the bus network puts the UK to shame) which was beautiful, 10 euros for two sunbeds and a parasol for as long as you want it.
Thank you, Paphos Gardens, for looking after us and giving us the perfect holiday.
