Paphinia Sea View Apartments

Very good apartment with the best views in Paphos harbour and promenade. It would be nice if a sun umbrella were available for the balcony as it gets full sun for most of the day. The beds are comfortable but they do squeek alot when turning over (not what you might be thinking! 🙄) but we did ask if the frames could be tightened up and within a couple of hours it was done, so excellent customer service. The kitchen utensils are lacking, basic things like a spatula and jug. Also a coffee machine would be nice. The apartment was very well maintained throughout the 3 weeks we stayed there and the lady (sorry we didn't get her name) that cleaned our apartment 107 was an absolutely lovely. If you want a great apartment right in the hustle and bustle of Paphos harbour and promenade you will have a fantastic holiday. We have already booked for next year.

We are currently staying in a 2 bedroom apartment at Paphinia SeaView apartments for 10 days. I’ll be sorry to leave in a few days.

We were in Paphos last year but stayed outside the Paphos area. When we saw these apartments last year, we had to stay here this year. We are both sea swimmers, so it’s lovely just to nip down to the water for a quick swim before we start the day.

The apartment is amazing with great space and everything you could need for a comfortable stay. The views over the harbour are magnificent. The only issue was for my friend, his bed was uncomfortable, but they supplied a topper immediately.

I can’t say enough about the staff, apartment is cleaned everyday and beds and towels changed a few times a week. If we had any issues they were dealt with very promptly, within 5-10 minutes of reporting it.

There’s a large supermarket just behind the apartments, if you feel like cooking or just picking up a few bits. There is a Lidl a few miles away if you are on a budget as the supermarket can be more expensive. We didn’t cook, but had our breakfast overlooking the harbour every morning. There is a vast array of restaurants in the harbour and surrounding area to suit any taste.

There is a walkway up the coast which is an amazing walk, which I did approx every second day, my friend walked it every day!

I would highly recommend hiring a car. We went to Larnaca and Limassol last year. This year, we took a trip to Nicosia, which is a gorgeous city and across the border, you will need your passport to do this. I would highly recommend a visit.

Today we’re off to the Trodoo mountains, so will probably have a spot of lunch there.

There are numerous beaches up the coast, I would highly recommend Corrilia Beach, the water is gorgeous with very few rocks. Facilities are very good including the restaurant. We had a gorgeous lunch yesterday and stayed until 6.30pm! We only left because it got dark.

I would also highly recommend going to Imbiss coffee and snacks, it’s on the road to Coral Bay on the right hand side (Sandy Beach is on the left) gorgeous sandwiches and the outdoor area is shaded with olive trees. We found this gem last year and we were back this year and plan another visit before we go back! This place is definitely worth a visit, I can’t recommend enough. The staff and owner are lovely helpful people.

Back to the apartments, if you are coming to the Paphos area, I would highly recommend you stay here as a base. We will definitely be back.

These apartments are in a fantastic location but are very dated. With a proper refurbishment programme to bring them up to standard they would be even more sort after and could easily charge more. The first impression on opening the door was not good. Grubby marks all down the inside of the door and a grotty light switch next to a very old power unit, the type you switch the electric on using a card. The furniture is decades old, including the kitchen, and looks it. The four single beds creaked and were not particularly comfortable. In the kitchen the fridge/freezer had plastic trim and handles which had turned yellow with age and the other parts had been repainted but even these were going rusty. The patio doors which led on to a nice large balcony had bizarrely been labeled with ‘ no entry’ signs. These were only so you could tell if the doors were open or closed but an odd choice nonetheless, and seemingly not in every apartment. The satellite TV was so out of date that only three basic and repetitive channels were in English. The air conditioning worked well. During my stay there was some heavy rain which resulted in a leak from the kitchen ceiling which filled a waste bin until I could report it the following day when it was dealt with. There were only three single power sockets in the lounge/dining area and pitifully few in the bedrooms so don’t expect to be able to run many devices. The bathroom was fine. As I said at the start, these apartments have huge potential, a great size with some great views in the heart of the action but in desperate need of an update.
