Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos

This hotel is fab. We have stayed at some luxury hotels throughout the world and now we have a baby, we needed something which would be baby friendly yet still tick our boxes. This hotel doesn’t disappoint. We pre requested a room in a quieter location to help baby sleep. We were given the furthest away room on top floor which was ideal. Wasn’t far to walk at all only about 20 seconds from the lifts. We could sit on balcony at nights and watch the world go by but there wasn’t any noise from restaurants bars or entertainment. It was perfect. Someone has last week wrote a pathetic review & specifically named our room. I can safely say we experienced none of the issues mentioned…. But thank you for the petty review!!…. The day your review was posted we were offered a complimentary upgraded room and late check out on last day! Even though we hadn’t complained and had zero issues! Fabulous service, food, cleanliness & entertainment. Staff were so helpful and friendly. We ate at the American bar 3 lunchtimes and loved it! So quirky and never needed to queue. As other reviews have mentioned, There was clearly someone who got their kicks out of depositing a log in the pool 3 days in a row forcing it to close, absolutely not the hotels fault and to their credit they did a fantastic and swift job of closing & thoroughly cleaning the pool.

My only criticisms would be perhaps a change of music at the shaded pool bar, as we had a baby we spent a lot of time there in the shade and it played repetitive Brit pop, it would be more enjoyable to hear some Cypriot or Greek “holiday” songs instead. Also, the snackeria was fantastic, staff worked tirelessly and food was brilliant. however we observed often, groups of small children just needlessly ordering food & ice cream milkshakes which they had one lick / bite of and then left as rubbish which was so wasteful, perhaps children under ten should be accompanied by an adult at the American bar & snackeria to avoid needless wastage of handmade bespoke milkshakes and ice creams etc.

The location of the hotel is perfect, 15 Mins drive from airport and a 30 minute stroll along the promenade to the harbour. I would 100% recommend this hotel and would come again. The captains deck restaurant was lovely, as was the pan Asian. Staff throughout the hotel were so friendly, shoutout to christi at the pool bar who never stopped all day and was just lovely. On our last night we were waiting for bus pick up in the main entrance and a waitress came round asking if we wanted drinks just 5 mins before we left. Literally from the minute you arrive to the minute you leave 5 star service and you will not be disappointed staying at this hotel! We requested a baby bath, kettle and travel cot, all of which was in our room upon arrival. The rooms have electric automatic blackout blinds & curtains, pretty cool a as they close when you leave the room to keep your room cool and open when you enter the room! Highly recommend Olympic lagoon Paphos!

Nice hotel, great selection of food and drinks, all made to a high standard. Lovely quality hotel with high end control systems in rooms. Decor great throughout. Good selection of restaurants, our favourite was the Italian and a big shout out to Robert who made our 2 visits there special. Nice bars with the new You and Me bar. Great for evening drinks. Nice selection using quality spirits. Entertainment every evening. Queen and Bon Jovi shows, brilliant. Good app system for booking restaurants and contacting hotel. With requests. Good subbed reservation system too, saves any issues. Good seating areas in restaurant allowing space for family’s and adults to be separate. Nice breakfast service with bespoke cooked food as required.

Negatives stopping 5 star review. Too many sunbeds crammed in around the pool, no space to move and so hot. Some of the evening entertainment ( especially the soul night, was soo poor. Limited daytime activities, which I’d prefer more off personally as I have experienced at other hotels. Food in main restaurant often suffered from running out and then long waits for it to be replaced. Had issue with booked restaurant as no space at my time of booking, were told to come back in 20 mins only to then be told that we still had to wait as there were others in front of us. Very upset at this delay. But to hotels credit, they actioned it with staff and got the message out to all staff that this shouldn’t happen

Would I come back, yes I would, the negatives did not spoil or ruin holiday

We came as a family of 16 people, ranging from young children to adults, and every single one of us had a wonderful time.

The service was exceptional—everyone was kind, attentive, and always willing to help. The hotel was spotless, comfortable, and had a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The food was delicious and exceeded our expectations. There was a great variety of options, so everyone was able to find something they enjoyed.

Thank you for your outstanding hospitality and for making our family vacation so special. We have no doubt that we'll be back, and we will happily recommend your hotel to our family and friends!
