Recently renovated for 2026, Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos is a five-star, all-inclusive beachfront resort designed for both families and couples alike. We had a couple back massage was amazing. We had veriko and sita. Very professional. It was my first massage and it was incredible. Came out feeling great.
Good stay - but not without a food issue
This was our second visit to Olympic Lagoon and, as before, we had a nice stay. We had a lovely pool view room in the adults only block, which included our own terrace with table and chairs, together with two reserved sunbeds next to the terrace. It’s been recently refurbished and the electronics, which control lighting, air con, curtains, etc, take a little bit of getting used but, once you get the hang of it, it’s fine.
But what makes Olympic Lagoon really good are the staff. Everyone you encounter has a ready smile and an understanding that they work in the “hospitality” industry. The room was kept immaculate, with the mini-bar regularly topped-up. And service from Ion in the Grand Lobby and Parwan in the Snackeria was excellent – both seemingly remembering your regular order after a couple of visits.
Evening entertainment in the Arena was still generally good, although there is no longer an in house production company doing different shows in the week, so the shows do seem to be lower key than previous.
Food in the speciality restaurants is good and Garibaldi and Seven Orchids now have full menus , rather than it being a no choice set menu and this is an improvement. Captains Table quite rightly remains a set Cyprus mezze meal – and was my favourite of the three (but then the food of the Eastern Med is my favourite “foreign” food). Food in the buffet was OK. Our issue here is that the hot food was rarely hot and, most often, barely luke warm. Other hotels manage to offer a hot buffet without problems so why not here. We complained to one of the chefs and, later, to Elena (the hotel’s general manager). She suggested that the chefs would always cook something fresh if asked – but that’s not the point of a buffet where you want to have a bit of this and bit of that. Later she sent along a bottle of fizz and a fruit plate which was a nice touch and was appreciated. Didnt make the food hotter though. And the hot food issue may well be a factor in considering if we want to return to Olympic Lagoon.

Great Hotel but needs some inprovment.
The hotel, staff and food are excellent. My one critiic is that the drinks while are good are lot down by the use of in corect glasses. Example, martini's are served in tumblers in all the bars we requented apart from the pool bar which appears to have all the right glasses albeit plastic. For a 5 star hotel this seems to be a major erroe.
Wonderful family stay — fantastic food and staff who go the extra mile
We stayed at the Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos in October 2026 as a family of three and honestly can’t fault it.
The October weather was still beautifully warm, and the resort never felt crowded. The standout for us was the staff. Everyone — from the front desk to the pool bar to the cleaning team — greeted us with a genuine smile and a friendly word every single day. They made our daughter feel like a VIP, remembering her name and her favourite table. You can’t train that kind of warmth; it comes from a really well-run, happy team.
The food was very good across the board. The Royal Olympic buffet offered a huge variety for breakfast, lunch and dinner, with different theme nights keeping things interesting, and the à la carte restaurants gave us some lovely evenings out without ever leaving the resort. Everything was fresh, well presented and constantly replenished.
Our absolute highlight, though, was breakfast — and specifically Irina at the omelette station. Every morning she welcomed us like old friends, remembered exactly how each of us liked our omelettes, and prepared them with such care and a smile that never faded, even during the busiest rush. Our daughter still talks about “the omelette lady.” That personal touch turned a simple breakfast into our favourite part of the day.
If the management reads this: Irina is a real asset — please recognise her!
Spotlessly clean rooms, great pools and entertainment, and a lovely stretch of beach on the doorstep. We left already planning our return. Highly recommended for families.
An Outstanding Front Desk Team – Truly Made Our Stay Unforgettable! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
I cannot speak highly enough of the front desk team at Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos. From the moment we arrived, they went above and beyond to make our stay truly special, helping to turn our holiday into an unforgettable experience, especially as we were celebrating my birthday.
A very special thank you to Marios, Kristiana, Yael and Evanthia, especially Kristiana and Marios!!!...who deserve the highest recognition for their exceptional service, genuine kindness and professionalism. They are, without a doubt, an absolute A-team and a real credit to the hotel.
What stood out most was that their hospitality felt completely genuine. They never made us feel as though we were simply another request on a long list of tasks. Every interaction was met with warmth, patience and a sincere willingness to help. They were consistently approachable, attentive and quick to respond, always taking the time to make sure we felt looked after. It was clear that they genuinely cared about making our experience the best it could be.
Whether it was helping us organise excursions, arranging dinner reservations, accommodating our room requests or resolving any issues that arose, they handled everything efficiently and professionally. Thanks to their assistance, we were fortunate enough to enjoy a beautiful room view, and their recommendations and support made planning our days so much easier and more enjoyable. No request ever felt like too much trouble, and they always went the extra mile to find a solution.
What made this team particularly special was the personal touch they brought to everything they did. Celebrating a birthday away from home can be lovely, but having staff who genuinely make an effort to make the occasion feel special takes the experience to another level. Their thoughtfulness, generosity of spirit and willingness to help made us feel welcomed, valued and truly cared for throughout our stay. It was genuinely a pleasure speaking with them every day. Their positive attitudes, friendly conversations and consistent attention to detail made such a difference to our holiday. They embody what exceptional hospitality should look like: not just completing tasks, but creating meaningful experiences and leaving guests with memories they will cherish long after they leave.
I sincerely hope this review reaches the hotel management, because outstanding employees like Marios and Kristiana deserve to be recognised and celebrated. People like these are what set a hotel apart from its competitors. Beautiful facilities and lovely surroundings are one thing, but it is the people who make a stay memorable, and this team truly understands that.
Please pass on our heartfelt thanks to them. They have set an exceptionally high standard, and Olympic Lagoon Resort Paphos is very fortunate to have them. We would be delighted to return to Cyprus in the future, and seeing these wonderful members of staff again would make that return even more special.
