We stayed at the Louis ledra this past week arriving home early hours this morning .
The hotel itself , was is as we expected . It is slightly worn however does have what you need . It is only about 20 mins from the airport which was great for transfers but note you will hear the planes going over . This didn’t affect our stay however .
We were welcomed with cakes and a drink on arrival , really warm welcome . The service at this hotel was fantastic throughout our stay . The staff work extremely long days and yet they are still working so hard .
The mini bar was filled daily which was a lovely touch .
We will say with the rooms - if you are expecting modern and new this hotel isn’t that . It is worn but we knew that from other reviews . The rooms do have what you need , the wardrobe space and storage is plenty and the bathroom good with lovely shower . The beds are comfy too . We had a side sea view room, the view was stunning and over looked the pool too .
The pool was good however smaller to other resorts we have been in the past . Also note before you go there are no ball games allowed in the pool , they are very strict about this . They do however have a pool party twice a week for about an hour which was super fun . We never had problems getting sun beds even as a family of 4. We are not early risers and would still get beds at 10-11am so no rushing needed . We were very happy having beds away from the front of the pool facing the sea .
We will say a few days after we arrived the smell near the entrance side of the pool was like sewage . That was off putting for sure however we would just move away . Also parts of the pool are worn so have tiles missing etc . The adult pool was lovely and felt newer.
The toilets by the pool however were poor , the smell of urine was so strong . Not a nice experience .
The ques at the pool bar were sometimes long , they could have had two staff on their especially as it is busy school holidays ,
The entertainment in the evening was hit and miss . Wednesday was great , there was a duo in the inside bar . They were fantastic and the atmosphere very good . Evening entertainment wasn’t the best and this could be looked at . Daytime for entertainment team worked very hard on . Although it isn’t really our thing so we didn’t take part in a lot .
Now the big standout for us was the food.
Fantastic food , didn’t feel repetitive and was super fresh . Even if you have fussy eaters there will be something for them . Lunch and dinner in the buffet room was something we looked forward to . There was too many dishes to mention but we really enjoyed the food . Although our children are not young they catered for young children . Of course you have access to food at the pool too which is table service for drinks and food such as pizza , fries , pasta - which was cooked to order but you could also have baguettes and sandwiches . This was great for quick bites and afternoon tea too ! We also visited the Italian restaurant - again the food tasted and was presented beautifully . Service was fantastic too .
The hotel arranged a cake for our so sons 14th birthday too .
Overall we would say we really did enjoy our week , the food was amazing as was the service . Those two you couldn’t fault . We probably wouldn’t stay again only as we would look to stay maybe at a bigger resort or go somewhere new but we would stay at another Louis hotel .
Just returned from a one week holiday at the Louis Ledra Beach. We had an amazing relaxing holiday here and as a first visit to Paphos we were so happy with the resort. First of all I would like to mention some staff members who really stood out to us during our stay. Firstly Roshni our house keeper, she kept the room immaculately clean every single day. I celebrated a birthday during the stay and was left a beautiful note and flowers in my room from Roshni 🥰 Mohammed in the lobby bar was always welcoming and a pleasure to see each evening and always remembered what drinks we liked. The car crush cocktail was lovely! Athena at reception is an excellent hostess and has a lovely kind and caring nature and genuinely wants guests to feel at home. This didn’t go unnoticed! The room (S44) was perfect for us with a sea view on the ground floor. Food was very good! However I have food intolerances which I did email about ahead of arriving. It wasn’t until day 3 or 4 that I was able to get some gluten free toast. I had asked some kitchen staff who had no clue what I was talking about. The only night I struggled to find something at dinner was carvery night and ended up buying crisps from the shop. Also all the desserts contained gluten every single night. My only option all week was fruit. I just felt that if you know there are people with intolerances just stick out some more options. You shouldn’t have to ask at meal times as you feel like a nuisance. For every option to contain gluten was a bit annoying especially as the desserts looked absolutely incredible! Other than this we had a great time. Paphos itself was amazing. We hired a car (which was arranged very easily with reception staff) and visited Paphos Zoo, the shopping mall, the harbor and castle, the Baths of Aphrodite and Aphrodite Beach. All in all a beautiful island, lovely people, amazing hotel with staff that are worth their weight in gold. Thank you Louis Ledra Beach.
Myself and my girlfriend had a lovely stay at Louis Ledra.
The location is close enough to the harbor to walk, or you can get a bus in which only costs 2 Euro each.
Our room was lovely and had a partial sea view. The cleaning staff were very thorough and left our room in a great state every day.
Our room had no issues with noise level. However, we did hear from some other holiday goers that were situated at the front of the hotel that a bar opposite the hotel was doing Karaoke until 2am. This is not an issue caused by the hotel but would have annoyed me if I was in their position.
The atmosphere around the hotel was great. The entertainment team - comprised of Tetiana, Maxim, Yulia, Oliver and Tauras - were nonstop. They constantly brought an energy to the place and were always happy to stop and chat. The reception staff and staff based around the pool were also wonderful.
There were only two members of staff whom I believed didn't match the happy and friendly vibe of the others. One was usually based in the pool bar working on the food side of the building. She was far too quick to anger and had to be moved away from guests on several occasions due to her poor attitude. The other member of staff worked mainly in the main restaurant in the tables dedicated for couples. She was also quick to anger and very blunt despite our best efforts to be friendly. I understand the conditions are stressful and everyone is human, however, the attitude of these two members of staff were appalling when compared to everyone else.
Overall, this didn't detract from our stay and we would definitely say the hotel is value for money and worth a visit.
We have just returned from 11 nights at this beautiful hotel, we had a lovely room over looking the sea and pool on the second floor, with an interconnecting door to other family members. There are plenty of sunbeds but you had to get up early if you wanted a spot around the pool. The food was amazing and varied with something for everyone and themed nights, it was lovely to have a meal at the Italian restaurant, which you have 1 booking a week for. The breakfast was my favourite as they had all the nuts and seeds that you get at home (chia, pumpkin, sesame, flax etc) which is a bonus along with several types of yoghurt. The rooms are quite small but have plenty of storage space, free safe and mini fridge, which is refilled daily, tea, coffee and sugar. The staff all work incredibly hard. The reception staff are very helpful, on arrival we were greeted with, bubbly, small treats and sweets which was a very nice touch. Margarita was exceptionally pleasant and caring and always delivered snacks with a smile and a chat. The other petite lady at the beach bar was also very nice and helpful. The entertainment at night was poor.
Had the best time away last week at this hotel! Food was absolutely delicious, drinks great and service always with a smile, nothing was too much of an issue. Rooms great size, and really clean. Pool area lovely, no bed wars like I have seen before at other places. Athena at the front desk always there to help and was so lovely checking on everyone.
