There's so much to see and do in Paphos. It's one of the essential places to stay in any holiday to Cyprus. And when you stay at the Constantinou Bros Athena Beach Hotel you'll have easy access to the beach, the harbour, the archaeological sites and the great shops too. But as well as all of that, you'll have the amenities of the hotel itself to enjoy and they really are worth writing home about.
For a start, there are three amazing freshwater pools to choose from (as well as an adults Pool, two paddling pools and a heated indoor pool (heated Nov - Apr).
The hotel's Elixir Spa is another highlight. From far Eastern cuisine to local favorites, from a la carte dining to four course meals and the Zephyr adults only a la carte, there’s a menu and a setting for everyone. From the cocktail bar, lounge bar (open to the discretion of Management) rooftop bar ( adult only for Elite class) to the beach bar and adults pool bar to room service, you can choose what, where and when you eat.
It's certainly hard to resist the idea of a little room service now and then, particularly when you return to your room after a busy day. All guests' rooms are spacious and air conditioned for your maximum comfort. And we really do recommend a little light supper or drinks on your private balcony. (Side and full sea view rooms are also available, affording excellent views out over the Mediterranean.)

OUR SECOND HOME
We have been travelling to Athena Beach Hotel since it opened on average twice yearly, so that is around 22 visits. The staff at the hotel are amazing and totally exemplary in every way, no one can do enough to help and and please and make your stay memorable.
The location of the hotel is perfect and although it is a large property most of the time it is peaceful and there are always many sunbeds available in good chosen locations on the development.
The food in the Atrium, Leda and Zepher is all excellent.
Sometimes the same dishes are rolled out the same on the second week of the holiday which can be a little bit monotonous, however there is ample choice and it is served hot and fresh. The restaurant staff are superb, their attention to detail is 99.9% which is a hard record to maintain!
We would like to particularly like to thank Andriana and Melina in the Leda restaurant who both work tirelessly to help their customers and maintain very high standards of service and friendliness.
Panicos and Konstantin and Mahmood in the A la Carte restaurants are exceptional in their service and approach and we thank them for all their help.(.the food was always 'hot')...Also their waiters are well trained and show real dedication to their positions, I cannot remember all their names but Roj certainly is a rising star and is his colleague whose name evades me.
Nana in the beach restaurant is very efficient and works tirelessly even in the very hot weather she is always smiling and helpful.
Huge thanks to Katerina Anna and Stella for their friendship, they are constantly checking up on guests to ensure all is good, and trying to solve issues as soon as they are raised, the staff are dedicated to Customer Care.
Now for the negatives....the fabric of the building is 'tired', the bathrooms need totally upgrading and modernisation programmes need to be put in place urgently .We have noticed improvements like the Adults only area and the roof top bar, but it is the things that make your daily stay better that need to be addressed. So many people are complaining to the staff about the state of the ladies toilets , particularly those close to the restaurants which frankly have not changed in 20 years and they are shocking!They need ripping out , replacing and re tiling in a modern fresh appearance, they are not only dirty but worn out, no amount of cleaning can put them right. This is the same for the bathrooms in the bedrooms, Mr Constantino PLEASE address.

Nice stay at Athena Beach
We have had a lovely weeks stay here at Athena Beach, the rooms were nice and clean and tidy and had all we needed for a family break. On arrival we were met with lovely staff at reception, but on our first couple of days we found that the pool and buffet restaurant staff were very miserable and didn’t smile or say thank you and definitely didn’t want to interact with guests. However, Roni at the pool bar was wonderful and so helpful and happy and nothing was too much trouble, Mahmood (not sure it’s spelt correctly) and Reyna in the breakfast room (the Italian restaurant) were just wonderful! Every morning they brought us our usual hot drinks before we’d even asked. They are a credit to the hotel. The food options were great and food was always so nice, no complaints on the food side at all! The drinks could have been better, I didn’t drink alcohol in the hotel all week as the wine was like paint stripper and the aperol spritz was u drinkable. If you like spirits and lager though it’s fine. The pool area was fine, not many bed available after 8am by the pool side but lots available on the grass area no issue with sun beds. Great snorkling on the beach as lots of fish around the rocks, the hotel beach is rocky but there is a sandy area off the floating dock and you can walk a could of minutes up the path to a sandy beach, the water is so beautiful and clear. The entertainment leaves a lot to be desired as it’s very drab singers some nights, maybe because it’s late in the season but it was a shame . The town is only a short taxi ride away but can be walked if you want to stretch your legs

Plenty of sun beds umbrellas. No need for those that like to do the sunrise sunbed snatching. All Staff very helpful . All the swimming pools were very clean. Overall exceptional clean hotel inside and outside area. If your into bowls there are 3 bowling greens. I would place this hotel a 4 plus. Not quite there to be classed as 5 star
The worst hotel I have ever stayed in
Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed in.
On arrival our room was dirty, covered in dust and stinks of artificial air freshener. We couldn’t sleep because the air was horrible and the air con kept us up all night making loud sounds.
Our baby was coughing and sneezing so we asked to change rooms.
Management couldn’t care less - they are rude, dismissive and act like you are inconveniencing them. Their only solution was to charge us an additional €900 euros to move us to a less rubbish room.
The food is bad, the place is packed and the attitude of most of the staff here is appalling.
We complained to BA who we booked through - they spoke to the same member of management and told us it was the worst person they had ever dealt with and apologised to us.
It really is a rubbish hotel - don’t bother wasting your money with these people - there are plenty of other places you can go
Beautiful hotel , extremely well run
This was our third stay at this hotel and it didn’t disappoint. The place is beautiful and the staff could not make you more welcome. Thoroughly recommend not just a hotel but a marvellous experience
