Aphrodite Hills Hotel by Atlantica

We arrived on a Wednesday at around 3 pm, but unfortunately, our room wasn’t ready, so we had to wait for approximately an hour. This was quite frustrating, especially as we were travelling with our four-month-old baby.

A month before our arrival, I emailed the hotel to request either a ground-floor room or accommodation in a block with a lift, to make getting around with the pram easier. Unfortunately, neither request was accommodated, which was disappointing.

The room itself was okay, and the bathroom was massive! However, the toilet cistern kept refilling constantly, so we had to report the issue. I was already unhappy with our room, and when I raised my concerns, I was informed that there were no alternative rooms available. Then, on the third day of our holiday, we received two identical letters, one addressed to each of us, offering an upgrade for an additional €100 per night! I found this quite frustrating, given the issues we had experienced with our original room.

On a positive note, the all-inclusive food and drinks were very good, with plenty of choice. We were also entitled to three speciality dining experiences per week, so we tried all three restaurants: Asian, Mediterranean and Mexican. All three were 10/10! Getting booked on was a bit of a faff as they get booked up past midday so we had to book first thing in the morning for 3 days in advance!

The staff throughout the hotel were fantastic, with the exception of two particularly miserable staff members in the Caror Lounge in the mornings. I went up at 8:58 am, not realising they didn’t open until 9 am, and was met with a very rude response. Even once the lounge had opened, their attitude remained disappointing. However, all the other staff members were fabulous, polite and incredibly accommodating, particularly towards our four-month-old baby.

The hotel also provided us with a steam steriliser and a comfortable cot for our son, which we really appreciated.

Finally, the TUI BLUE representatives were fantastic, and there was a great range of entertainment for everyone, including plenty of activities for older children.

Overall, there were some disappointing aspects, particularly regarding our room and the initial check-in experience. However, the excellent food, fantastic entertainment and wonderful staff throughout most of the hotel helped make our holiday enjoyable.

The spa was absolutely gorgeous, clean and the staff were superb. A great choice of spa treatments and a large spa with lots to offer. A calm and relaxing experience, especially receiving my treatment from Dil, thank you!
