A lovely hotel
The Hotel was beautiful, very clean and staff were lovely and friendly. The location was good and only a 20 minute walk to the harbour which was a lovely place to go. The room was lovely. We had a private pool which was very well kept and we could also order poolside service, which was quick and efficient.
No noise problems, it was also good to be able to organise a sunbed for the main pools and this was reserved for you the whole week.
All staff were very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed the food in the buffet and a good selection. The individual restaurants were very special.
We would love to return in the future.

Lovely but some guests ruined it for us
We had a lovely stay at the Amavi Hotel for our honeymoon. ❤️ The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, with stunning sea views, gorgeous pool areas and a luxurious, relaxing atmosphere. The facilities were fantastic, and it was a lovely place to spend our first holiday as a married couple.
We were probably amongst some of the youngest couples staying at the hotel, which wouldn’t usually be an issue at all. However, we did unfortunately encounter a few guests who came across as rude, entitled and quite stuck-up, which at times made us feel a little out of place. This was disappointing, as we had chosen the hotel to celebrate such a special occasion and wanted to feel completely comfortable and relaxed.
That being said, you can’t fault the hotel for the behaviour of the guests staying there, and this is certainly not a reflection of the hotel itself. The hotel is beautiful, and we enjoyed many aspects of our stay. Just be prepared that, unfortunately, you may come across some rude and entitled people during your time there.
Overall, we had a lovely honeymoon and appreciate the beauty and luxury the Amavi has to offer.
The best hotel in Paphos
Located conveniently on the sea front in Paphos yet far enough away from the central area to be quiet this is undoubtedly the best hotel in the resort and possibly even in Cyprus. We’ve holidayed to the island for over twenty years and have stayed in the Amavi every year since it opened seven years ago. All the suites are immaculate with above average fittings and facilities. The staff are friendly, helpful and totally committed to the service they provide. All communal areas are constantly cleaned and serviced. The pool areas provide quality sun beds in pairs both in sunny and shaded locations. Of particular note is the reservation arrangement for beds which remained yours for the duration of your stay. The main restaurant and three speciality ones serve excellent and varied menus again with attentive staff. This is an adult only hotel primarily with tables for two thus avoiding groups in a quiet and refined atmosphere. The hotel booking options are not cheap but represent good value for the money and we have absolutely no hesitation in recommending it. We have already booked for 2027 !
Truly Wonderful!
Our third time in Amavi in twelve months. It is a little piece of heaven in the beautiful town of Paphos. From the moment that you walk in, you are treated like a friend. Our room was fabulous, on the fourth floor, overlooking the sea with a wonderful view of the sunset every night. The food is outstanding. There is a huge choice at breakfast, Cypriot, continental and English. Evening meals are either in the main dining room, with a completely different menu every evening, or in one of the three speciality restaurants, one Cypriot, one Japanese fusion, one a seven course tasting menu, all spectacularly good. What really makes Amavi stand out is its staff. Without exception, nothing is too much trouble and always with a smile - our bedroom lady, front desk, porters, pool attendants, leisure centre staff and especially the lovely waiters and waitresses in the restaurants. Often the manager Mr Charalambous is there for a friendly chat too. Amavi is in a great location, right on the seafront, 15 minutes walk from the harbour where there are numerous cafes and bars, shops, beautiful churches and the incomparable Paphos Archaeological Park. Can't wait to go back!
5 star experience
A truly 5 star hotel from the beautiful reception to the gorgeous sea view rooms the amazing staff and food and a very welcome added bonus of keeping the allocated sunbeds for the duration of your stay. We will definitely be back.
