We've just returned for a week's stay with 2 kids aged 8 and 10. This is a great family hotel (might not be 1st choice if you don't have kids!). The entertainments team were really excellent - our eldest absolutely loved them. The kids club was good and well organised - liked the buzzer idea if they wanted to leave early. We had an issue with our air conditioning at the start of the trip. The management were pro-active dealing with the problem and kept us happy - well done. The food was good (for an all inclusive) and we got a booking in the 3 restaurants we wanted to try. The pools were nice - not huge and sometimes busy but it is July. The waterpark was good though didn't spend much time there as kids were enjoying kids activities too.much. Drinks were fine and rarely much of a queue which was impressive as it was busy. No issues with getting a sunbed unless you wanted to be right at edge of pool. Beds in the shady areas always available. The beach cove was lovely- my wife enjoyed the shady hammocks. Staff were all great, from Housekeeping to front desk and seemed happy. No queues for reception which is unusual for this sort of hotel. Brilliant sunsets especially from 1st floor terrace. We would definitely return.
We just returned from a week's stay at Leonardo Laura Beach & Splash Resort as a family with children aged 10 years down to 5 months old. Overall, we had a nice holiday, but for us it was an average experience and not somewhere we would choose to return.
The hotel is very family-focused, and there's certainly plenty to keep children entertained. The splash park was a big hit with our older children, and there are several pools, play areas and activities throughout the day. If you're travelling with young children, it's easy to keep them occupied.
One of the biggest positives was the availability of sunbeds. Unlike many all-inclusive resorts, there were no "sunbed wars" and you could still find plenty available even if you didn't head to the pool until 11am, which made for a much more relaxed start to the day.
The food was decent but fairly typical of an all-inclusive resort. There was enough choice to begin with, but after a few days it became quite repetitive. We never struggled to find something to eat, but nothing really stood out or wowed us. The à la carte restaurants were much the same – perfectly acceptable but nothing special, and not a significant step up from the main buffet.
The drinks were also what you'd expect from an all-inclusive package. They were fine, but not particularly memorable, and the cocktails and branded spirits you'd find elsewhere weren't available. Again, not bad, just fairly average.
The staff throughout the hotel were friendly, welcoming and hardworking, which definitely helped make the stay more enjoyable. Service was generally good despite how busy the resort was.
There were a couple of downsides. The pool areas can become very slippery, so it's worth taking extra care with younger children. Also, during the height of summer the pools become incredibly warm by late morning. By around 11am, they felt more like warm baths than refreshing swimming pools, which was disappointing given the high temperatures.
Another frustration was the lifts. The hotel is large, and at busy times the lifts were extremely crowded. It wasn't unusual to wait 10–15 minutes for one, which became particularly challenging when travelling with a pushchair and a baby. If you're staying on one of the upper floors, this is something to be aware of.
Overall, we had an enjoyable family holiday, and the hotel does offer good facilities for children. However, it didn't quite live up to our expectations. We don't regret staying here, but it's not somewhere we would return, and we'd probably look elsewhere for our next family holiday.
Brilliant service food was fantastic loved how clean it was family loved it so did i
We had 4 nights all inclusive and it felt more than enough. Very busy and loud but it is a huge hotel. My youngest is 14 now so the slides were good but we're a little over the hustle and bustle now and prefer a more relaxed atmosphere and this is not that. Hotel was lovely though, clean and plenty of choice for food and drinks. Alot of drunks around the pool and it was always busy but plenty of chairs as their are 2 pools and a beach. Beach is pebbled, small and gets no sun until early afternoon but it has a bar, very few seat's down there but lovely views. Rooms were nice and no problems with noise. They did shut the pool down early one day to prepare for Greek night and the staff were rude and could have just explained rather than yelling out at everyone come 4pm.
Very very good The service is very dood Very kind therapist
