The Local Area
The Cavo Maris is a popular hotel, located in a beautiful, unspoiled, seafront location in Protaras, amongst extensive grass lawns and beautiful gardens which run down to a safe beach with fine golden sand and crystal clear sea water, awarded the blue flag. Within 2 minutes walk, there are 2 more secluded beautiful beaches. The Famous 'Fig Tree Bay' beach, at the Resort centre, is about 1.5 km down the road (15 minutes walk). A local bus service is available to the centre of Protaras (1.5 km) and Paralimni, the biggest town of the area (9 km), or to the nearby bustling resort of Ayia Napa (9 km). Larnaca International Airport is about 59 km away.

Cavo maris Top Stay
Spent 7days here with the family of 7 what a place. Looks like it has just been refurbished and very modern whikst still feeling comfortable. The room were to a good standard and the pool area and beach was fantastic. The staff done amazing as soon as you was up out of your seats they were cleaning the area ready for next people use the facilities. A shout out to Christina Kim,and Dionysis looking after us for pm drinks service was spot on along with Manuel. You guys really looked after us. At dinner time Gina, Christoff looked after us and seated us altogether. George on reception gave me all the information and upgrade choices which were definetly worth it. This is a must stay and i will be looking to book again. The lifeguard on shift was very prompt in dealing with issues. Unfortunately he had to deal with a very obnoxious family from London who caused him nothing but grief(they were very rude)and all he was doing was keeping everyone safe and comfortable. I observed him keeping standards with various people and families and he was consistant and correct in what he was explaining.

SUNBED WARS, MUD & ANTS
Do not book this hotel if you wanna be sat on your sunbed every day around mud and millions of ants that bite! We were here for 8 nights and never managed to get a sunbed around the pool because it’s sunbed wars!! It’s so unfairly managed by the hotel no one is allowed in the pool or to get towels before 10am but every single bed is taken by 3-4am it’s laughable! We spotted big families putting towels out at 11.30 the night before for the following day the hotel didnt stop them either. The pool area is absolute carnage it’s not big enough for how many people stay at the hotel. We had to sit on the grass verge surrounded by mud for a week it was filthy. They over water the grass we had a thunderstorm when we were there and they still had the water irrigation system on so imagine the mud! The mud is all around the pool aswel. We had no option but to sit in the adult zone as no sunbeds were left at 10 am and the lifeguards had the audacity to try and make us move obviously we didn’t! Do not leave food in your room you will get ants immediately.

Back to the lovely Cavo Maris 4th time …staff are lovely and friendly…. Cannot do enough for you … especially “Christina “ We weren’t happy with the two single beds , the first evening next day it was rectified… no problem Food was amazing as always … 3 course meal and wine on the house as we were returning guests and wine & chocolates on our anniversary … cannot fault the hotel I would strongly recommend this hotel but book early especially for august 🥰

Phenomenal Hotel
Great location and lovely beach. The most sun beds i have been to in a hotel meaning no stupid o clock wake up to reserve one. Best ice cream served at the pool bar. Lovely room and amazing gym which is 2 floors and an indoor pool. The jacuzzi pool outside is huge and really good. There was even an adult area of sun beds for people who want to relax. The food was phenomenal as I had full board.

Absolutely perfect vacation at Cavo Maris. High level service, delicious food, lot of space, different beaches, crystal-clear water, water-based entertainment etc. Recommend it.
