Hotel did not meet expectations
Our room was spacious with a comfortable bed, free safe, good fridge, TV with some English channels, plenty of plug sockets, plenty of storage and good lighting. A bath robe and slippers also provided. The hotel is 5 minutes from a small beach, great for children and snorkelling. Also close to coastal path for walks. It is on the main bus route and bus stop very close to hotel. Hotel capacity appears to far exceed the number of chairs or sun beds available to sit or lie on outside other than chairs in the bar or restaurant area. Went for early morning walk and people wrapped in towels reserving a sun bed - haven’t seen this in years. I would suggest rising at 6 am to reserve a sun bed particularly if you have a preferred location but also just to know you have one after breakfast. Outdoor capacity very limited and compact. No wiggle room between sunbeds to move an inch forward backwards or sideways. Minimal walking space between pool and sunbeds - surprised no one has fallen in. Sea in October was warmer than the pools. Pools were cleaned daily. There are some sun beds on the grass area which was quieter than around the pool. However there is an invisible line that restricts where sun beds can be moved to in this area. It was never explained why. However only the lifeguards can see this line and the older lifeguard chose this knowledge to release all his pent up anger on unsuspecting hotel guests in a vile aggressive torrent of emotion. Quite unnecessary when a simple notice stating no sunbeds beyond this point would suffice. We saw this farce happen daily. Management need to address this issue. There are a couple of other grass areas by the pool but they appeared to be restricted areas too and are demarked by unsightly red and white tape - no idea why. The main restaurant is a headache inducing cacophony of noise - scrapping chairs, cutlery and plates being cleared and people having to shout at each other to be heard fully supported by background piano music. It’s hit and miss whether you get asked if you would like to order drinks - suggest bringing your own. The buffet area is small. Salads are good. There are good veggie options. Chicken undercooked. Rice dishes dry and very over cooked. No show cooking. Hot food always cold. Either the heat lamps are not the most efficient or food is only ever warmish when food is put out. If an item needs replenishing and you ask a member of staff, they say they’ll find out, disappear and then you don’t see them again. Overall the hotel is clean, our room was cleaned daily, change of towels available as well as pool towels. Public corridors and stairs could do with attention. Corridors are accessed through extremely heavy fire doors which are not easy to open. Those that I went through did not have self closures fitted. A child would not be able to open one in an emergency. I don’t know if regulations in Cyprus differ to the UK but I feel they need to be looked at. On checking out we were able to store our cases, book a shower room and have a complimentary lunch which was a nice gesture. However I have stayed at other Atlantica Hotels before but I wouldn’t stay again at this one.

We love everything in the hotel rooms food everything perfect
Thanks to Al Paro aqua blue is the best hotel. We never had. Everything is the best our children happy we are happy also entertainment activities. I love every single thing we will back next year.

Very nice hotel. The staff is very helpful, the facilities are super, both for families and for couples alike. Definitely worth a visit!
Absolutely Amazing Massage, Best I’ve Ever Had
What an absolutely fantastic experience, Without a doubt, the best massage I’ve ever had.
I went in suffering from a really painful back and came out feeling like a new man, years younger and completely pain free.
My therapist, Giancarlo, was absolutely brilliant. Incredibly professional, knowledgeable and clearly someone who really knows what he’s doing. He knew exactly where to focus and worked wonders on my back. The difference afterwards was honestly unbelievable.
I can’t praise him enough. A genuinely first class experience from start to finish, and worth every penny.
If you’re staying at the Atlantica Aqua Blue, I would highly recommend treating yourself to a massage at the Aegeo Spa, especially with Giancarlo. I certainly wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Lovely week away and first time in Cyprus
A lovely holiday with some truly wonderful staff!
We had a lovely holiday at Atlantica Aqua Blue Hotel, and there were a few members of staff who really made our stay extra special!
Maria, who works in the spa, was absolutely wonderful and so lovely with my little girl, who absolutely adored her. Anna, also from the spa, was always smiling and happy to have a chat. We also had a wonderful massage during our stay!
Gabor and David, who work at the pool bar, were fantastic. They were so friendly, chatty and great to have a conversation with. They really couldn't do enough for us and made us feel very welcome.
I did notice that some guests, perhaps because they were staying all-inclusive, could be quite impolite towards staff, often expecting food and drinks without a simple please or thank you. The staff work incredibly hard, and a little kindness and appreciation go a long way!
Our room was lovely and spacious, with sliding doors separating the children's room, which was great for families, and a nice balcony. The cleaners also did a fantastic job and kept our room to a really high standard throughout our stay. Reception staff were equally lovely, always welcoming and happy to help with a smile.
The pools were a little cold, but we still enjoyed using them! Not many people seemed keen to get in, which actually meant we often had most of the pool to ourselves. There was the odd chilly moment, but it didn't stop us enjoying it!
Areas that could be improved:
Kids' club and play area: Unfortunately, this was a real disappointment for us. We were told that, as it was the end of the season and the resort was due to close in a few weeks, they weren't being given any more resources. However, I feel this area really needs some investment, both in terms of decoration and activities. It's a very small indoor space with limited resources and play opportunities. There didn't seem to be much planned outdoors either, and the activities appeared to be mainly indoor games. My children weren't keen on going in, and after visiting once to see what it was like, we didn't return. For a family hotel, I think there's definitely room for improvement here.
Sunbeds: Unfortunately, the usual sunbed situation! People were leaving towels on sunbeds for hours without actually being there. I moved a few towels after a whole hour of nobody using the beds, only for the people to return another hour later and claim they had been there all along. We chose not to move, as I personally think it's incredibly inconsiderate to reserve sunbeds for hours when you're not using them. The hotel could definitely do more to manage this.
Evening entertainment: This was probably our biggest disappointment. The entertainment felt quite subdued and more suited to adults looking for a quieter, more sophisticated evening. There wasn't much for children apart from a small disco and face painting in the rather dingy kids' area. For a family-friendly resort, I would have loved to see more variety and activities to keep the children entertained in the evenings as well as more engaging entertainment for adults too. Day entertainment - it would be good if the staff offered some sort of water volleyball in the pool or have some inflatable for kids for a hour each day just needed that something extra.
The surrounding area:
One of the highlights was exploring the local coves and beaches. Paradise Beach Cove was absolutely stunning and, when we visited, there was hardly anyone there. It was fantastic for snorkelling, with loads of fish to see! Definitely worth a visit if you're staying at the hotel.
Overall, we had a lovely holiday, and the wonderful staff really made a difference to our experience. Maria, Anna, Gabor and David deserve a special mention for their friendliness and kindness. The room was excellent, housekeeping was brilliant, and reception staff were always helpful.
With some improvements to the children's facilities and evening entertainment, I think this hotel could offer an even better experience for families. There were plenty of positives, but a few areas that could definitely be improved.`
