Great stay at the Valamar Argosy hotel
Spent six nights at the Valamar Argosy hotel. Very clean hotel with very good room accommodations. We didn’t realize it when we booked but the proximity to the bus stop (first stop) would be a big win for us. Just steps from the hotel, you board the bus to the old town (15-20 minutes in the morning) and you get a seat (the bus fills up just a few stops away) and the gift shop sells bus tickets, if needed. We enjoyed the daily breakfast buffet and the beautiful sea walk with lots of restaurants is a short walk away. The hotel did have nightly music in the patio - a big too low key for our taste. Multiple pools with stunning sea views. In all, a great time and would recommend because of the location and ease of getting a bus to old town.

Relaxing hotel
Lovely clean bright hotel...
Very quiet hotel
Great location for scenic walks and views and bus stop just outside the hotel for a 15 min ride into Old Town Big rooms, but our superior room had no view just a door out to a back garden.
Gym needs upgrading and treadmill was out of service. Pools could open earlier for those who like a swim before breakfast.
Very friendly staff
Tea is €7 at the bar so maybe get elsewhere 😂

Beautiful Views
Travelled to Croatia with Tui in October Unfortunately the hotel we originally chose was subject to nearby building works, so we were offered a change of hotels a week before we were due Slightly dissapointed to start with that we were given a room overlooking the car park. It had a Juliette balcony which meant we couldn’t sit out The room is adequate but not home from home. Facilities at the hotel are fab so the room really didn’t matter in the end
.The indoor pool is really nice especially since the start of our holiday was a bit rainy. We were confused as to why the lockers in the locker room had no keys in to secure any items. It’s a tech savvy hotel so why you can’t be given an electric fob with your pool towel I have no idea. Perhaps we were just missing something Really nice gesture we were greeted with a bottle of sparkling wine on arrival and one the next day due to my birthday. Good selection of food during mealtimes and all the restaurant and bar staff pleasant. Number 6 bus virtually a stones throw away and it takes you right into the old town of Dubrovnik for less than €2 each way ( but travel passes from hotel shop as it is cheaper than paying in the bus)
Fabulous views from the terraces. Short distance to a row of shops one way and the beach the other . The season is winding down so it wasn’t crammed. We prefer less crowds so it worked for us Entertainment a couple of times a week but not too loud and not late
It’s says designed with adults in mind, there were some children but they were all very well behaved and a credit to their parents
Would I go here again… yes but I’d probably opt for a room with a view as it’s stunning and would be great to wake up to. Well done Team Argosy.
