This hotel is located amidst the luxuriant beauty of the Lapad Peninsula, just a short distance away from a host of shopping and entertainment venues. The beach is located just 50 m from the hotel, while the vibrant centre and enchanting old town of Dubrovnik are situated just 3 km away. Links to the public transport network are available nearby. Dubrovnik Airport is at 20 km from the hotel. This wonderful hotel enjoys a charming architectural design, beautifully showcasing the splendour of Croatian style. The guest rooms are sumptuously designed, come equipped with air-conditioning, TV, private bathroom and a balcony overlooking the open sea and the Elaphite Islands. Guests are invited to enjoy and relax at the swimming pool that comes with sunbeds and parasols.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.

Traveled to Croatia with a friend for a cycling tour. We booked Hotel Komodor in Dubrovnik for a 1-night stay b/f our return flights home. The reception was busy understaffed and we were bruskly treated. The beach is not as easily accessible as the website leads one to believe. Having reserved a double twin room, we were given a single room that was devoid of outlets, possessed a filthy, stained carpet and a broken down bed with a terrible mattress. We asked to be moved to a double-twin room and were told there was nothing available. The room was so bad that my friend refused to stay and immediately booked a room elsewhere. I reluctantly stayed on b/c 2 other friends had booked there b/c we had done so and I felt responsible if their stay was equally as bad. The shower drain was clogged. No vent in the bathroom. This hotel was straight out of what I experienced having visited Soviet era Russia some 40- ish years ago.
First night I got here I had what looked like a cake thrown at my door and was still smeared down my door the next morning and the cleaner was just stood there starting at my door my door laughing I asked her politely to clean it and they told me to not be lazy and clean it myself, considering they’re the cleaner I thought that was really unprofessional.
The menu was ridiculous all their was to offer was potatoes, potatoes and more potatoes with some what tasted like gluten free pasta I don’t think the chef got their MVQ.
One night I was heading downstairs for dinner and the majority of people having what looked like a food fight probably because it’s the same bloody menu every night not just that I went to sit down at my table and someone had left their dirty cutlery for me to use.
We had a lovely week based at hotel komodor, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, the food was fantastic and traditional! Good atmosphere 👌 we made a good friend in Zoran he was so funny and happy all the time, we have some fantastic memories to take with us. Thank you hotel komodor
So, really, really last minute! As in the hotel we booked wouldn’t honour the booking. So booked at 10.30 and checked in by 11! Super smooth. Lovely lovely gentleman on reception. Booking couldn’t be found but resolved really quickly and without making us feel anxious. Lots of reassurance! Overall the staff were lovely, couldn’t do enough but not overwhelming. Stayed in “the annex” spotlessly clean, great shower but the stairs are not for the faint hearted! No lift. Pool was ok but smaller than expected n doesn’t get the sun til afternoon. Breakfast was great, didn’t manage to get dinner here but competitively priced and again dining room spotless. The location is ideal for public transport. not a lot going on in Lapad, probably is a bit soulless so if you are looking for culture it’s not really the place for you. Beach is nice, water is Chrystal clear and the sunset is fab!
I stayed at this hotel with a friend at the beginning of October. Although the hotel is a bit old-fashioned, it is clean and well maintained. The room and bathroom were clean, and having parking available was a big plus. The location is convenient, with easy bus access to the old town. Breakfast was also good. Overall, we had a pleasant stay and would recommend this hotel.
