Relaxing break in beautiful hotel
Beautiful hotel, staff were friendly and helpful, great facilities Lovely big rooms with balcony, all very clean 24hr bar which is great. particularly as we arrived late Breakfast buffet super, we didn't eat other meals, provided breakfast box when leaving as we left before breakfast Stunning location but it is a distance from Old Town but there is a bus right outside the door to get there Would happily recommend this hotel as even though it is not cheap it is well worth the price as there was plenty to do in the hotel so you can spend time there

Definitely not a 5* experience
Reading all these glowing reviews, I have come to the conclusion they must all come from V Level guests. Our experience in the “cheap seats” differed vastly. Yes, there is huge selection on offer in the Buffet for breakfast but replenishment of fresh fruit, yoghurt etc is poor with platters remaining empty but, even worse, all the “hot” food (porridge, sausages, bacon, hash browns, chick peas - the list goes on) is barely even tepid. Whilst the public areas (bars, reception, à la carte restaurants, toilets, pools and terraces etc) are worthy of a 4+* rating, the same cannot be said about the corridors to the rooms nor the rooms themselves. Threadbare, discoloured carpet in the corridors and dated furniture in our room with ill-fitting drawers in the wardrobes, tatty headboards on the beds and peeling wallpaper. Although clean, this is not what we expect from what is described as a 5* hotel

A Wonderful Birthday Stay at the President Hotel, Dubrovnik
We’ve recently returned from a wonderful five-night stay at the President Hotel, Valamar Collection, Dubrovnik, celebrating our mum’s birthday, and couldn’t have asked for a more memorable trip.
The setting is breathtaking, with stunning views across the Adriatic. Our room was comfortable and impeccably clean (definitely worth booking the premium rooms on the higher floors). Breakfast offered plenty of choice, and the beach and pool areas were perfect for relaxing. The food was very good, although vegetarian options were limited. We opted for the breakfast and dinner package, and our only real gripe was that water wasn’t provided at dinner, meaning we had to pay for it separately.
What truly made our stay special was the wonderful team. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and attentive. A special thank you to Vedran and the entire restaurant team, who made us feel like queens, and to Mateo at the front desk (if I have his name right!) for making us feel so welcome.
The hotel is perfectly located for exploring Dubrovnik’s Old Town, while offering a peaceful seaside retreat to return to afterwards.
Beautiful hotel, breathtaking views and genuinely outstanding service. We were very sad to leave and would absolutely love to return. Dubrovnik will hold a very special place in our memories!

Great hotel but crowded city!
Lovely hotel. Really nice room and beach area. We had half board which was great as the restaurant was really good for both breakfast and dinner which were buffet style. We were disappointed with Dubrovnik town - very beautiful but spoilt by the excessive crowds of people in the walled city and also the cost of everything was very high. €40 euros each to go on the city walls - it's ridiculous! With cruise ships arriving and tour groups everywhere the town is being ruined - much like Venice! But Croatia is beautiful and we had a great trip to Mostar (though this was also crowded!).
