What a fantastic holiday!
This is a lovely hotel next to a gravelly beach with the most gorgeous, warm and clear Adriatic sea. The room was clean and tidy with the maid, cleaning it every day. There were always ample sunbeds and parasols both on the beach and next to the pool so there was no need to put towels down. The food choice at breakfast and dinner was amazing with so much to choose from. We had wine with our evening meal and the waiting staff explained a little about the origins of the wine before they served it. A nice touch. The whole hotel was very clean and tidy throughout. There is a bus stop outside the hotel and the buses will take you to Dubrovnik old town for under two euros each. We also did the cable car trip from Dubrovnik old town which was stunning looking down over the old town and the bay. One slight niggle. Whilst the tap water is some of the cleanest in Europe and very drinkable, they serve bottled water with dinner which is chargeable. A jug of tap water would be an easy alternative. Also, there aren't any water refill stations in the hotel. All the staff in the hotel we came across were very friendly , happy and polite and all spoke excellent English. Some that served us and gave us great friendly service were: Dora and Rosario at reception, Petar at Zagreb University, in the main restaurant: Andrea M, Predrag, Rea, Ema, Duro, Davor, Miljenko (Sommelier trained), Borislav, Ema, Vladan, Miljan, Lucija on restaurant reception, Sam... Indonesian cook Tara and Vedrana (cooks). Thank you all for making our holiday wonderful

Amazing!
Lovely hotel, very friendly staff. We ate at La mar restaurant and the service was exceptional - big shout out to Vladimir who was incredibly knowledgeable and made the evening special and fun.

Don't Expect to Have Lost Property Returned
We recently stayed here.
I would say the main areas & rooms are a little tired and dated. They are certainly in need of a refresh.
Breakfast was very repetitive and if you left it too late, there would be very little left. Service around the pool was very hit and miss and it was easier to go to the bar to get your own drinks.
The main issue we had was upon departure from the hotel. As a typical teenager my son lived out of his suitcase, except he hung two expensive t-shirts in his wardrobe and unfortunately he forgot to pack them. My son is a student who works part-time and he worked hard to save and buy these T-Shirts for his holiday. However, he has to take responsibility for this.
We realised the day after we returned and we contacted the hotel.
We have been informed that despite extensive searches the T-Shirts have not been found. They were definitely in the wardrobe.
So either the housekeeping staff failed to check and the clean the wardrobes upon departure and they have been picked up by the new occupants of the room or the house-keeping staff have not handed them over to Lost & Found as per the hotels procedure. Either scenario is not what one would expect from a supposed 5 star hotel and this is very frustrating and disappointing.
Therefore, please check that you have all your belongings upon departure as you are unlikely to get them back.
Lovely Hotel
Very nice hotel. Comfortable room with sea view. The hotel is right on the beach. Lovely pool too. The breakfast buffet is AMAZING - more food (and varied types) than anyone can imagine.
