A Good stay in Split!
Had 2 rooms booked at the Marul. The location, while not right in the Old Town area was about a 5-6 min walk away, and worked for us because we had a car. The hotel is located down a narrow alley, but it isn't a problem getting to it from the car park. Parking was included in our nightly rate.
The hotel was clean, though the decor was a bit sparse, and slightly dated. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom spacious. The shower pressure and heat were fantastic - though the bathroom amenities certainly needed a bit of an upgrade.
Breakfast was provided daily, and while the selection was broad enough, the overall quality of the food was just about OK. The good service made up for that.
Overall, a good stay.
Exceptionally Great Hotel.
Great location, walking distance to shopping, bars, Port of Split and it's exceptionally beautiful waterfront, hotel is very clean with modern amenities, great breakfast and very friendly staff specially the gentleman that checked us in on the evening of July,31/26 and also arranged the taxi from Split airport (SPU), the taxi driver was also very helpful in getting us safely right to the Hotel reception

Perfect finale to our trip to Croatia
So pleased we added on a 2-night stay at Hotel Marul in Split after a 7-night cruise along the Croatian coastline. This small boutique hotel is perfectly positioned in the Old Town - so we could easily walk everywhere in just a few minutes.
We were shown to our Superior Room early - which was very much appreciated. Our rate included breakfast and oh my goodness, what a fabulous selection of food awaited us at breakfast time in the restaurant - with everything from fish, cheese, cured meats, cereals, fresh fruit, pastries, bacon and eggs cooked to your preference, to cereals, jam, honey and fresh bread. A juicing machine provided us with a delicious fresh glass of juice.
Really friendly staff on reception gave us some great tips on places to visit.
We couldn't fault our stay and would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel
Great hotel very well positioned for the centre. Staff very helpful with good recommendations on where to eat. Room well equipped and shower great. Breakfast good, especially the freshly made scrambled eggs.

A little gem of a hotel.
Great location for this small hotel, within a 7 minute walk to the waterfront and Diocletian's Palace.
The refurbished room was bright and spacious.
We could not have asked for better service from all the staff.
