Romantic getaway
Ladera might be one of the most romantic and intimate places my husband and I have ever stayed. The views of the Pitons and the Caribbean are absolutely stunning. We stayed in Suite N, and the entire experience was amazing from start to finish.
The friendly and attentive staff were definitely one of the highlights of our stay. Our room came with a phone that allowed us to easily contact our butler, the front desk, or concierge, and they were always happy to arrange and handle reservations, taxis, excursions, and more. Everything felt effortless and well taken care of.
The property also provides complimentary shuttle service to Sugar Beach, which is the best beaches on the island. My only recommendation would be to offer more shuttle times, as we would have loved to take advantage of the service more often.
A few things to note before booking: the rooms do not have TVs, but honestly, we didn’t miss having one. If you do want a movie night, you can arrange one at the property’s unique Mango Treehouse, which is such a fun and memorable experience.
The property also offers beautiful trails, an indoor/outdoor gym, a rum bar, and many other amenities. Ladera is definitely not a lively, party-style resort—and that’s exactly what makes it so special. It’s designed to feel secluded and peaceful, almost as if you and your partner are the only two people in the middle of the jungle, surrounded by incredible views.
For couples looking for romance, privacy, and an unforgettable experience, Ladera is truly something special. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily return.
Watch out for mosquito flogging!
Let me start out by saying that the view is amazing! It really is spectacular and I recommend going for dinner to enjoy it. I also think the staff was very nice. Now, let me tell you why I would not recommend. We paid a lot to stay there and our first night was Friday night. The lady told us that they fog for mosquitoes at 5:30pm. We thought, no problem we will be out of our room at dinner. We go to dinner, we come back, get into the plunge pool, open a bottle of wine then we get fogged with mosquito repellent. I mean, a thick cloud of chemical. We couldn’t get away from it bc we were in our room. This occured at 7:45pm. The resort said sorry, they should have been there at 5:30. This is unacceptable. I will also say the lack of AC is a bit of an issue, but not huge. If you turn the lights on then bugs are everywhere so we had to shower in the dark. We are older but there are a lot of newlyweds. We met a lot of them and they were bored. It’s not like you can enjoy your room in the dark and the pool is cold at night. There is a game room with a pool table (only area with AC) and we did that a lot. I am glad we went but we only stayed 4 nights, I would have been fine with 2 or 3 nights. It’s a one and done for me and the fact that they didn’t offer any discount for flogging us with mosquito spray really sealed if for me, I’ll never return.

Absolutely magical
Absolutely Magical!
Ladera is truly one of the most magical places we’ve ever stayed. The open-air design, incredible views of the Pitons, beautiful handmade details, and colorful mosaic showers make you feel completely immersed in St. Lucia. It’s such a unique experience.
What really made our stay special, though, was the incredible service. V, who delivered our breakfast several times, was an absolute gem and always made us feel so welcomed. Along with Karina, they went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we wanted or needed.
From custom breakfasts and champagne to arranging rides and even a private water taxi to our next resort, every detail was handled with genuine care.
Thank you to V, Karina, and the entire Ladera team for making our stay so special. We truly didn’t want to leave and can’t wait to come back!
Amazing experience
An amazing experience, amazing food, excellent customer service, super peaceful, clean, everything is beautiful. The attention is fast and they are always super nice and taking care that you have and excellent day. Rohan is excellent worker I remember. But also every single one of them are super well trained and professional . The spa is amazing
Best of the Best
Of the 8 various properties/resorts we have visited in St Lucia over the last 12 years, this is by far the most impressive.
Staff members were all engaging with a big smile and offering to provide for any of our needs while also having helpful suggestions. THe included breakfast was a wonderful experience every morning with the most amazing views in all of St Lucia. Looking down on Sugar Beach between the two massive Pitons and wide open ocean views between them made for a memorable breakfast every morning.
We recommend considering one of the 2 a/c option rooms if you are heat sensitive. Constant breezes counter the warmth and allow most folks to adapt.
Since all accommodations provide an unobstructed, open air view with a fantastic plunge pool mosquitoes are fed off by burning mosquito coils, and sleeping within mosquito netting. Caroline on the management team was especially helpful and accommodating.
In my 40 years of traveling the Caribbean two dozens of islands. This is one of the top resorts I’ve ever stayed at.
I might also share that they offer free shuttles down to two beach options. Sugar Beach, which is in my opinion the best and offers great snorkeling in the marine sanctuary. Also, there are free brown lounges on the beach left side of the drop off/entry point.
We took advantage of those on every visit.
Room stocked daily with lots of nonalcoholic beverages including CaliWater which we discovered is a wonderfully refreshing beverage and a good mixer.
