There's so much I love about Iberostar Rose Hall Beach, but the thing I love most is the people.
Tanya from the Club, Jevan at the pool bar, everyone at the Jerk Hut... they are the heart of this resort. The people you meet on vacation truly make or break your experience, and over the years, the staff here have become like family. Every time we come back, it feels like coming home, and there's no better feeling than that.
This resort has been a special part of our lives. We even got married here and return as often as we can. We're Club members because we genuinely love this place. The food is consistently excellent, and that's one of the many reasons we've continued to choose Iberostar year after year.
That said, one thing has noticeably changed over the years: the entertainment team.
When Chocolate, Pineapple, Cookie, Romaine, and the rest of that crew were here, the entertainment was unforgettable. Their energy was contagious, they connected with guests effortlessly, and they created an atmosphere that made every day feel special. During our most recent visit, I couldn't help but miss that level of excitement and engagement.
I truly hope Iberostar, especially as the brand continues to evolve and go through changes, places a greater emphasis on employee retention. Guests don't just return because of the beautiful beach or the food. We come back because of the relationships we build with the people who make us feel welcome year after year.
Taking care of your staff is one of the best investments you can make because they'll continue taking exceptional care of your guests. That sense of familiarity and connection is what transforms a vacation destination into a place that feels like home.
We'll absolutely be back because this resort still holds a special place in our hearts. I just hope to see the entertainment program regain the energy and personality that made it so memorable. I'd truly be heartbroken if I ever had to replace a place that's meant so much to our family.
We had booked two adjacent rooms 4 months ahead of arrival with a specific request for an extra bed. We were assured of the same from emails we sent & received. On our day of arrival, we again made the request & that they were working on it. By the 4th call to the front desk after waiting for hours, we demanded to speak to a supervisor. We were informed that our request was never received. Eventually a bed was dispatched. One of our rooms had a non-working air conditioning. They kept on sending repair people. It was the the 3rd repair person on the 2nd day of our stay who whispered that they had a system issue prior to our arrival. We called the front desk, and no one could answer why that room was still rented. They did offer to swap rooms. The greenery around the grounds were overgrown and poorly manicured. The staff were pleasant and friendly The food was delicious & had a wide variety Overall, the cost of our stay compared to the ambience & quality of service led to this poor rating
Listed as a 5 star resort. Next door at Iberostar selection, it’s a 5 star resort.
Waves in the motel 6 of all inclusive resorts. If it was listed as a 3 star resort (which is what it is) it would’ve been a nice trip. Food was good and the entertainment staff was fun.
The rooms are in bad shape. They let vendors harass guests on the beach. After the first day my 12 year old didn’t want to go to the beach again because of the aggressive vendors. The towels in the bathroom are like sandpaper on sunburn. The app doesn’t give proper times or show the right events going on at the resort. Example the app showed foam party at the pool 5 days of my 8 day stay. There was a foam party once. Italian restaurant was terrible. The jerk hut ran out of chicken or pork almost daily. The grill on the beach kept running out hot dogs.
There’s a lot of little things that shouldn’t happen at a 5 star resort. If they had better management and remodeled the rooms it could be a nice resort.
We’ve stayed at 10+ all inclusive resorts. This was the worst run out of all our stays. Usually stay at dreams rose hall but it’s closed for renovations. Waves should follow suite and close to renovate the property.
On arrival we were not taken to our room but had to find it ourselfs after travelling 11hrs thought the night and a 6 hr time difference this was not what we expected. Then outside our room were 2 American woman arguing loudly who we had to ask to move so we could get in. Once we shut the inner door luckily we didn’t hear them. The drinks in the fridge was a nice surprise and the view from our balcony was better than expected. Breakfast was really good so much choice in everything pastries cereals cooked items fruit. Lunch the beach shack meat was never cooked proberly but there were plenty of other choices. Evening meal the Italian offered limited choice and we felt rushed to finish our meal. The buffet was again amazing choice if sometimes arranged slightly randomly. The Japanese with show chiefs was great fun and they made sure everyone was catered for. The smokehouse 1 was not good my main item was a non meat burger I don’t like burgers. My husband found the mix of so many flavours over welming. There was so much waste on every table Mayb the menu needs looking into allowing guests to pick from the list what they would like. We didn’t try the Jamaican The icecream palour was a hit and we both loved the cookies too. The toilets around the resort need cleaning more often and repairs carried out. Several were out of order our whole stay. Also the extremely low wc in our room was hard for me to use due to my disability. The shows were great the fire eater in the Jamaican show is far better than the beach 1. Infact the cast of that show are all fab. We saw a magician a country singer a band the beach show Micheal Jackson and enjoyed them all.I found the entertainment teams little dances every night a waste of time. I did a bead making class and despite trying 3 times to make conversation with the entertainment manager she didn’t interact at all just ate Burger King and did her own thing. The water fountains are resort were good idea. Keirah our helper woke us up at 7.30am which wasn’t good when we finally met her we discussed what was happening on resort timings etc then she asked us to go to a breakfast event for her. I thought it would be a holiday scheme were you gain points and my husband thought it would be to book a return visit however it was a hard sell scheme selling you rooms. 2 men got the hump when we didn’t want to buy and the lady Natalie complained about the score we gave her. What was meant to be 90mins turned into 2.5hrs and the boat trip promised was only booked after 3 attempts due to low numbers. We had a good holiday despite mistakenly booking in rainy season and having 3 days of rain at the start however we would come later in the year if we returned as we like to do trips and hardly any were running g due to visitor numbers. The boat trip when eventually booked was good our crew friendly and visiting the sandbank was great. We went to chukka and did rafting and rum tasting and swam in a natural pool there were other events available and we would hav booked more but weren’t given the chance to. We took the resort bus to the shoping villiage wasn’t great a lot were shut or designer we loved the shop with several locals in together but weren’t given weren’t there long.
Kimberly at the star camp was so good is it really friendly with the kids
