Our first time in Antigua and in a Royalton Resort and neither disappointed. From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome. Checking in was easy, relaxed and smooth. The room was always clean and extremely comfortable. Every member of staff were friendly and courteous. Our butlers Beverly and Marcus went above and beyond to ensure our stay was memorable and nothing was too much. From the morning messages to ensuring that zero % beers were stocked in our mini-bar, plus a surprise fresh coconut for our son. They were always available to answer any queries or book a restaurant and always had smile and happy to chat. A huge thanks to both.
This is a beautiful hotel, stunning views and perfect beach. I wouldn’t waste money going diamond club level as there was very little difference in service. I found the staff kind and courteous but if your used to high end service in 5star resorts then it is probably not as good as I found it but this was a special treat to myself and I would happily stay again if I was heading back to the island. It’s not put me off using Royalton brand in the future
We had a wonderful stay at the Royalton Antigua, staying in a Bay View Junior Suite with Diamond Club service.
A special shout-out to Butlers Beverley and Marcus, who were absolutely amazing. They went above and beyond to help us with anything and everything we needed — often anticipating what we might need before we even had to ask. Their warm, friendly service truly made our stay special.
The island of Antigua itself is beautiful, peaceful, and felt very safe. The beach at the resort is fantastic — a beautiful, protected cove with lots of marine life. We were lucky enough to see turtles and stingrays, which made the experience even more memorable. There’s also a lovely walk along the beach, and if you’re up for a bit of a climb, you can visit the old fort at the top of the hill for some beautiful views.
We really enjoyed the fact that the resort is relatively small and intimate. It makes everything feel more relaxed and manageable compared with some of the larger all-inclusive resorts.
That said, the resort would benefit from some refurbishing and updating, particularly in some of the outlying buildings and around the pool area. While this didn’t take away from our overall experience, some updates would definitely bring the property up to the level of the beautiful location and service.
Overall, we had a fantastic vacation and would happily return. The combination of the stunning beach, peaceful island, smaller resort atmosphere, and especially the exceptional Diamond Club service from Beverley and Marcus made this a memorable trip. Antigua is truly a beautiful place, and Royalton Antigua was a wonderful home base for exploring it.
August 19th -25th my friends and I stayed at ROYALTON Antigua, our stay was quite lovely. Check in was a breeze. We resided in the garden view junior suite with Diamond Club. Our butler's Bishop and Coniah both were wonderful and very attentive. They checked in on us throughout the day. Also they made all restaurant reservations. We were able to try each of the restaurants. Hats off to the chefs. Each meal was delicious. Special shout out to Darrion the manger at the steakhouse. He gave special care to one of my friends in need. All the STAFF was phenomenal. Shout out to Tracy at guest services, Cathy Ann at breakfast DC buffet and lunch Carribean restaurant. At the bar Usran (he knows how to shake a drink) Snow, Deano(pretty eyes) , Joseph (always a smile) ,Neil@pool, Opal (housekeeping) and Vernon the Life guard was on stand by for those in need. There's more to thank, please forgive me for not remembering all the names.
The location was great close to the airport and the shopping areas.
The atmosphere at the pool was welcomed and interactive the staff was great. They really encouraged those around to get involved in the activities. Just need more nightly entertainment. The silent party was great. Maybe add in all white beach party or Live band. Overall my friends and I had a great vacation, very relaxing. Thanks to All of you. Keep smiling
We chose Royalton Antigua to celebrate our anniversary. It’s definitely a 3 star resort. We had the Diamond Club which is only beneficial if you’re a drinker. The resort wasn’t crowded so you could find seating at the pool and beach. We had 2 butlers definitely a hit or miss, not very efficient. The staff appear to be disgruntled with very slow service and few smiles. Bring your wallet for tips, that seems to be a motivating factor, better the tips appears to get some service. Food was 5/10 at the buffet, restaurants 3/10, don’t waiste your time. The spa was nice, staff still very cold. We spent a lot of cash. If you want luxury and a pleasant staff, make another choice.
