The hotel itself presents a welcoming array of traditional Antiguan style bungalows dotting the shoreline. Garden bungalows are twin or double an offer attractive garden views. All have en suite facilities and feature a safe, ceiling fan and mini fridge. Superior sea view rooms and bungalows are available at a supplement.
The Hawksbill offers a perfect mix of amenities to offer guests the chance to unwind as well as some choices for leisure and amusement. Antigua's quiet gem!
My husband and I have always thought resorts were 'not our thing' so Hawksbill was a real wildcard for us. And it sure stepped up and knocked expectations out the park. The location, beaches and layout made it feel remote and peaceful. If you are an extrovert there is plenty of chances to mingle and for introverts, you won't feel crowded or pressured. The evening entertainment was laid back and pleasant - no wild parties which suited us fine. The food was simple but plentiful. Our room was fabulously located at the edge of the resort with the most gorgeous sunsets. The mattress could definitely do with retirement but it wasn't uncomfortable. We were so lazy and relaxed we didn't really feel the need to venture off the resort at all, although there is plenty to choose from if you want excursions. We did spend one thrilling day out doing the Adventure Antigua Xteme Circumnav tour around the island and I would highly recommend that. Loved all the wildlife around the resort, especially the ducks. But the real stars of Hawksbill were the staff. What an amazing team they have put together. Nothing was too much trouble and the smiles were in abundance. Any small flaws can be overlooked when you have such wonderful people looking after you. I do hope management look after their staff as well as they looked after us because they certainly deserve it. We usually never travel to the same place twice but I think Hawksbill might just become the exception. Of the 42 countries I have visited over the years, Hawksbill has firmly put Antigua in the top few.

2 amazing weeks at the Hawksbill
We've just returned from a 2 week stay at the Hawksbill resort, we had an amazing time, although the room was a little tired we loved it, the beach view was out of this world, it was so relaxing, the resort, the food and the staff were fantastic. There was no seaweed in the sea on that side of Antigua.
A little gem !
A very charming hotel with beautiful beaches. Great for relaxation and getting away from it all. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The food was good and I ordered lobster on one of the evenings which was cooked to perfection. The head chef came out and spoke to us which was a nice touch. We stayed in the basic rooms at the rear but they were very comfortable and clean. Really enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

2 amazing weeks at the Hawksbill resort
We've visited Antigua on many occasions but this was our first time at the Hawksbill, we loved it, If your looking for a relaxing holiday this is the place to stay.

Lovely Resort
This was our 4th trip to Antigua, all in different hotels. This was our 1st time on the West coast. We were pleasantly surprised by Hawksbill, the resort is a relatively short drive from the airport. Check in was fairly quick by Antiguan standards! The room ( Superior Sea View) was large, clean and with a large balcony. We particularly liked the half outdoor shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. We had fridge stocked with drinks and topped up nearly every day. The TV had Prime which was useful one very rainy afternoon. The resort has several beaches. Eden beach is the furthest and nicest in our opinion but sadly both Eden beach and Honeymoon cove had a lot of mosquitoes and no- seeums. Although lovely to walk and swim , it's difficult for sitting unless you wanted to be bitten. We ended up basing ourselves at the pool and then walking and swimming at the various beaches. The restaurants are good. PD grill at lunch is superb. The main restaurant is good and the one on the beach is OK but we didn't book to eat there in the evening. The bars are a bit odd . The beach bar/restaurant is the one mainly used during the day but the staff were fairly surly. The bar at the main restaurant had absolutely no atmosphere. It's certainly not somewhere to drink before a meal. The staff member who got drinks for the pool however was great (sorry I've forgotten his name) Fortunately we are not great drinkers so it didn't really bother us but it is nice to go out for a drink before dinner. The water sports were good. We took our own snorkelling equipment and the snorkelling was some of the best we have had on the island. Take a float though as the jet skis are a menace, come in far too close and fast and will at some point takes someone's head off! The fishing was Ok too but mainly using a kayak to get further out .Would we go back? Yes definitely. The price was excellent for a week away and I can see his becoming our regular autumn break
