Iberostar Founty Beach

My family and I absolutely loved our holiday. It was our first time to Morocco and we weren’t 100% sure how it was going to go as we have heard some mixed reviews on it. But if your going then completely forget all those stories. It was amazing our whole holiday we felt safe and everyone was so friendly. We walked along the pier and reached bars/ restaurants which were nice. Anyway back to the hotel.

Rooms - The rooms were very basic but did the job. They could do with a bit of a freshen-up, especially in the bathrooms but again they did the job. Cleaners where lovely and kept the room fresh every day for us. Only problem was there was 3 of us although they only gave us 2 towels so we requested some on the very easy to use Iberostar app which we receive shortly after although the day after the cleaners only gave us 2 towels which again we had to request more but then eventually they kept giving us enough. That’s just me being picky about the rooms as they were honestly fine.

Restaurant - The restaurant was great they had plenty to offer and cater for all ages and food types. There was a Moroccan section that had very tasty food and even a great kids section. Deserts were so good.

Activities/Entertainment + Staff - The staff were honestly the highlight of the holiday starting with the restaurant with Hassan remembering us and bringing us drinks and saving our table before we arrive for dinner he was honestly so nice. Then the Entertainment team who were so good they always came up to chat with us and sat for ages just chatting away. The activities such as water polo and archery were so fun with them as they made the games so much better. Big shout out to Yusuf + Pikacho who were honestly so chill and always chatted with us. Whoever from management is reading this they need to tell them how much of an impact they both made on our holiday. Even the reception staff were giving us tips on the area such as how to navigate Souk el Had (largest market in Africa over 6000 stalls) which was also amazing and crazy due to the size of it (ignore bad things about it just be sensible with your belongings and be respectful).

In conclusion our holiday was amazing mainly down to the entertainment team + staff making it so memorable. 10/10 would recommend to any families.

Visited here 8th October 2026 arrived about 11 am told our room along with other guests wouldnt be ready till 3 pm wrong,how can all rooms be ready at 3 we went to reception at 1.45 pm and our room was ready.This is a big hotel,the rooms were were good,we stopped at Decameron nearer the Marina last november and this hotel was superior in just about every aspect.Lovely beach and pools at the hotel lots of sunbeds but by the stage where we liked to sun bathe out of 150 beds 120 were taken in that area by 8 am one morning,as we were leaving our room at 6.15 am on the thursday of our departure lots of sunbeds were taken and lots of people were milling about putting towels on,we noticed a lot of people had towels on at 8 am but didnt appear till 2pm,these issues need sorting,a lot of the sunbeds were in bad shape and were very uncomfortable,the gym pictures on trip advisor are from a hotel in Palma Nova Majorca from 2018 so dont expect a state of the art because it was quite poor from lifting weights point of view,the pop up bar below the restaurant where the excellent early evening entertainment was on had a major flaw coke was not on draft it came from bottlles and it was flat spoiling bacardi and coke not 4 star facilities,food was ok in the restaurant a lot of Moroccan themes,there is a microwave and bacon which are slightly hidden away but a member of staff will point you in the right direction,there is a show theatre near the pop up bar which had evening entertainment on from 9.30 pm to about 10.30 pm.All the staff at the hotel go above and beyond all very friendly and not pushy.The hotel is a little remote its about an hour walk to the marina there is very little if you turn left out of the hotel.A lot of people were sat with their bare feet on chairs morning and night,people have to sit on these its a disgusting habit.Security is good with guards place at strategic points around the hotel,there are armed police on quad bikes on the beach and on mopeds nearer to the marina and armed soldiers and police walking up and down the prom.Overall it was a good stay but the early race for sunbeds and people not appearing till late afternoon needs adressing,plus the poor state of the sunbeds and poor gym also the flat coke served at the pop up bar were a big let down,a lot of people will come and not need sunbeds or use of a gym and flat coke wont bother them and waiting round 3 hours to get your room.
