Location, Like Home, Spotlessly Clean
Foad, the owner, manager, and talented designer of this beautiful riad, has created something truly special. He has an excellent customer-care team whose ultimate goal is to make you feel as though you are staying in your own home.
Everyone was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and helpful. Zeinab, who recently joined the team, took care of us as if we were her private guests, giving us her full attention and responding incredibly quickly whenever we needed anything.
The breakfasts were so reasonable and full of varieties.
One small tip: if you need a Smart TV in your room—for example, to connect to your own YouTube account—let them know in advance so they can arrange it.
We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this amazing riad to anyone visiting Marrakech!

Excellent stay
The location is excellent, the hotel very welcoming with impeccable service and a very friendly staff. I highly recommend it.
Just right
I've stayed at a few Riads in Marrakech over the last couple of decades and Villa Makkasar is the nicest one I've stayed at so far. Big and beautiful, thoughtfully designed communal areas. Comfy rooms. Great breakfast. The location is perfect for getting to anywhere in Marrakech on foot or by taxi etc, just inside the Medina walls. Staff are great (Jalila and the other lady whose name I forgot but not the smile!) and it was a pleasure to meet Fouad the owner. I won't be looking anywhere else on my future visits to the beautiful red city. Villa Makkasar has a fan in me now!

A lovely place to stay in the Medina
Villa Makassar is a lovely place to stay. First, the staff is so courteous and welcoming. Zainab was charming and helpful, offering to walk me to the cash machine even though it was right down the street. They efficiently arranged transportation, got us a reservation to a popular restaurant when we couldn't get one online, etc. All the staff were similarly gracious. The breakfast was ample and tasty and we could not come close to eating it all. It is conveniently located in the Medina so you can walk out an explore the city. The rooms are amply sized. All in all an excellent experience.
