Overall a fabulous stay. Swift late night check in. Room size generous. Pool area clean. Restaurant area well managed with an excellent choice of breakfast food.

Couple of concerns addressed immediately. Mattress had seen better days, potentially the mattress topper. Also a few private conferences/functions during our stay which resulted in us being refused entry /service in the bar areas.

This was not communicated in advance and as paying guests should have still been permitted access to the facilities.

That said, when reported to guest services/reception, this was immediately addressed by Najiya who resolved the issue in a timely & satisfactory manner. A very polite and efficient member of staff. Thank you very much Najiya for your support.

Also thanks to Hassan who resolved the mattress issue. Communicated when the issue would be resolved, and was done so as agreed proficiently.

The biggest shout out however is to Alae. What an absolute superstar he is. Tending to our requirements throughout our stay when we visited the main bar. There were 12 of us, and the majority of having different drinks and each time he recalled what each of us drank every time. He made us all feel welcome and ensured we were served promptly, service with a smile throughout our stay. Friendly, funny and generally just blooming fabulous. Thanks Alae, it was a privilege meeting you.

Ahlam the lobby ambassador was completely helpful and made sure we enjoyed our stay and were fully satisfied The housekeeping staff was also very polite and ensured our room was clean and well maintained throughout our stay Can't wait to come back!

We stayed at the Mövenpick twice, at the beginning and end of our tour of Morocco. We stayed in the older building the first time and in the Deluxe building on our return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stays. The breakfast was easily the best we had in Morocco! The variety and taste were amazing, and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. A special mention to Chef Sami, Moustafa and Nourddine, who made us a special smoothie. Bardersine, our waiter, was particularly lovely, always friendly and attentive, and nothing was too much trouble for him. They really know how to make guests feel special!

The property itself is beautiful, with well-tended gardens, huge plush sofas in the common areas, lovely pools and peacocks lazily wandering around. The whole place has such a relaxing atmosphere, and it really feels like a little haven away from the busy city.

At the beginning of our first stay, we had a couple of problems, including the room key cards not working (resulting in us going back and forth to the reception ) as the reception not answering the phone despite repeated attempts. It was frustrating . However, Larsen, the manager, was very helpful and efficient in sorting things out. He also kindly arranged complimentary massages at the spa, which we really appreciated.

When we returned at the end of our tour, our booking was a little complicated, as some nights had been booked by our tour agent and others by us directly, with different room types. The reception team were very accommodating and managed to arrange for us to stay in the same Deluxe room throughout, so we didn’t have to change rooms in the middle of our stay. This was greatly appreciated.

The Deluxe room itself deserves a special mention. It was huge, beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The housekeeping team were also very friendly and efficient.

We also had some amazing cocktails at Nosh, the rooftop bar, which is definitely worth a visit.

Overall, we felt that Mövenpick really delivered five-star customer service. What made our stay particularly enjoyable was how friendly and helpful everyone was. The hotel is beautiful and has lovely facilities, but it’s the staff and their genuine hospitality that make the difference.

We really enjoyed our time here and would happily return!

Tips : go for Deluxe rooms if you can afford , the rooms and hospitality are one notch up .
