Aqua Mirage Club Marrakech

Absoloutly attrocias service . I came from pickalbotros aqua fun club . I made a big mistake and the family agreeed . The hotel has the silliest rules people can think of . When at reception there would be a line of people complaining . The staff employed are all prob teenagers . Half of them have not even been trained to know where and what is going on in terms of times of shows etc . Also please bring your own kettle and iron . Be prepared to be told different info from dufferent staff . Make sure ur room key is working fine or it could be long trips to reception on a daily basis . Be prepared for the smiley sorrys . Adil who is manager on entertaintment side couldnt care less about your family and kids . The hotel itself was great . But the service was soo soooo bad i was on 20mg diazzapam on a daily . I should have stayed at pickalbotros aqua fun club . I have been to many hotels aroumd the world . This was the first hotel evvver my 6 year old boy commented saying this hotel has spoilt our holiday . In my favour though there were 3 families with on my second day making complaints . I would have thought they would have a special department for complaints !!!!!

We booked through TUI and arrived at the hotel early in the morning (2 adults and 1 child). Although our room wasn’t ready until 3pm, there were no early check-in fees. We were able to use the all-inclusive facilities straight away, and the hotel provided a secure luggage storage area so we could start enjoying our holiday immediately.

Room

We stayed in Block 1, which was in a good location. The room was spacious, cleaned daily, and had everything we needed. The air conditioning worked brilliantly (there were two units), and having two TVs was a nice bonus.

Food

The food was exactly what you’d expect from a large all-inclusive resort, with plenty of choice for both adults and children. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in the main restaurant, with additional snacks available throughout the day at the pool snack bar and the main bar.

The main restaurant can get busy and a little chaotic at peak times. Some clearer signage for queuing would help, but we found going at the start of each meal service made a big difference.

We were slightly concerned before arriving after reading reviews saying people had become ill. Thankfully, none of us were unwell during our stay, and we enjoyed the food throughout the holiday.

Entertainment

The animation team work incredibly hard and really make the holiday enjoyable. There are games and activities throughout the day around the pool, followed by excellent entertainment every evening. We particularly enjoyed the pool parties, karaoke and the Michael Jackson tribute show, African & Oriental night.

Resort

The resort has multiple pools, including an adults-only pool. The aquapark is a fantastic addition and was one of the highlights of our holiday.

There are also plenty of sports facilities, including tennis courts, table tennis, basketball and football pitches, with equipment available to rent from the animation team.

We also appreciated the number of lifeguards and security staff around the resort, which made us feel safe throughout our stay.

Staff

The staff were excellent across the whole hotel. From our room cleaner to the cleaner keeping the public toilets spotless despite the number of guests, everyone worked incredibly hard. The bar staff were friendly and efficient, and the animation team were fantastic.

A special mention to Imad and Joss, who interacted with us every day and really helped make our holiday memorable.

Wasps

We’d read lots of complaints about wasps before travelling, but honestly, we found that much of the problem comes from guests leaving uncovered sugary drinks and food around the pool. We brought insulated cups with lids (Stanley-style cups), which the bar staff were more than happy to fill for us. As long as we kept drinks covered and our table clean, we hardly had any issues with wasps.

Tips for future guests

• Bring a lidded reusable cup (Stanley or similar) – the bar staff are happy to fill it.
• Bring a Fire Stick or similar if you’d like to watch Netflix or YouTube in your room.
• The hotel Wi-Fi was okay, but I used an eSIM during the holiday and had excellent signal everywhere.

*Its very hot in July, with temperatures exceeding 40c, bring electrolyte sachets and drink a lot of water.

Overall, we had a fantastic holiday and would definitely recommend this hotel to families looking for a fun, all-inclusive break.

Brilliant holiday. Caters for families, friend groups and couples. Food is lovely, different every day. Joss & Zaine deserve a special mention, really looked after us. Joss is the best Michael Jackson in Morocco. You HAVE to watch the Michael Jackson show, really, really good. Clean, great selection of drinks too. Definitely recommend!
