I have not been to Diani in ages. I picked Baobab Beach Resort and Spa based on the reviews and they did not disappoint. Right from the lobby/reception to the dining area to the pool attendants and the kids club, the staff were very friendly and professional. The premises is clean and so are the rooms. Monkeys are quite annoying but this is a great place to choose to go on Holiday. I especially loved the kids club. They engaged my kids in activities while I relaxed and that was an absolute plus. Shout out to Bahati from the kids club! Keep it up! I’ll most definitely be back.
We spent 14 days at this resort as a family and had an amazing experience from start to finish. The location is simply breathtaking. The lodges are beautifully integrated into a paradise-like landscape, surrounded by majestic baobab trees that give the resort a unique character. There are countless places to relax under their branches, whether on a pool bed, in the shade, or while enjoying the spectacular views. The beach is another highlight. It is beautiful, well-maintained, and easily accessible from all parts of the resort. Directly opposite lies Robinson Island, which I highly recommend visiting for snorkeling. Local beach vendors can arrange trips there; if you get the chance, look for Isaac, who was excellent. Food was consistently very good throughout our stay. The beach bar restaurant was a particular favorite, offering a great selection of fish, meat, and vegetarian dishes, along with opportunities to try delicious local cuisine. There was enough variety to keep meals interesting even during a two-week stay. The staff deserve special recognition. Everyone we met was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely eager to help. Their positive attitude contributed greatly to the overall atmosphere of the resort. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day, and room service was reliable and efficient. A few additional points worth mentioning:
There are monkeys living around the resort, which adds to the tropical atmosphere. They generally keep to themselves and are entertaining to watch. Despite clear warnings, some guests still attempted to feed them, which is never a good idea. The resort mentions a dinner dress code requiring long sleeves for men. In practice, this seemed more of a recommendation than a strictly enforced rule. There were some ongoing maintenance and construction works during our stay. We were informed about them in advance, and honestly, they had little to no impact on our holiday experience.
Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend this resort to families and anyone looking for a relaxing beach holiday in a truly unique and beautiful setting. We would gladly return.
Rafiki kids club is a lit with miss Bahati though she told me there are 3 kids club but I only so her from morning till night.she knows her job and bonds well with kids loved it...the Jambo team in all are the best .happy to meet with most of them..my kids were very happy
Baobab has always been my to go sea side resort. The Jambo Team are amazing and the food is fantastic. The views are also very good and you get a massage close to the ocean. I noted just a few things housekeeping can do better but we enjoyed our stay
Baobab exceeded our expectations. It’s an amazing hotel, in a beautiful location. The staff are so friendly, the food is amazing and the entertainment was fantastic. Our teen children begged us to extend our stay. Special thanks to everyone who made our stay so memorable, especially Sule who came to say goodbye to us. We look forward to visiting again very soon.
