Iberotel Palace

We spent a wonderful holiday at Jaz Elite Palace Sharm El Sheikh and overall had a very positive experience. The hotel has many strengths, but there are also a few areas that could be improved.

🛏️ Room – 4.9/5: The room was spacious, comfortable, modern and very clean. The only small issue was that the cushions on our balcony chairs were dirty when we arrived. We mentioned it to the staff, and they immediately cleaned and replaced them. Excellent service and a quick resolution, so this definitely remains a top.

🏊 Pool – 5/5: Although we didn't spend much time at the pool, it looked beautiful, well maintained and clean throughout our stay.

🍽️ Main Restaurant (Buffet) – 3/5: Unfortunately, this was the biggest disappointment of our stay. The variety was decent, but the quality of many hot dishes suffered because fish, meat and other foods were constantly kept under closed lids to stay warm. As a result, everything became soft, overcooked and visually unappealing. The presentation could definitely be improved, and the food would benefit from being served in a way that better preserves its texture and freshness.

🍴 Alibaba À La Carte Restaurant – 5/5: Completely different experience! Excellent food, great service and a lovely atmosphere. Definitely one of the highlights of our stay.

🏖️ Beach – 5/5: Absolutely fantastic. Comfortable loungers, plenty of space and a very relaxing atmosphere. Beach towels were conveniently available in the room, which was another nice touch.

🍹 Beach Bar – 5/5: Very convenient and well organised. Drinks were available throughout the day without long waiting times, and the staff were always friendly.

🎭 Entertainment – 4/5: The evening shows were enjoyable, but I think the hotel could create an even better atmosphere around sunset. A live DJ or relaxed lounge music during the aperitif hours (around 6:00–6:30 pm), when everyone gathers to watch the sunset, would make the experience much more memorable and create a fantastic social atmosphere.

👥 Atmosphere: The hotel has a very calm and peaceful vibe. Most guests seemed to be older couples, so if you're looking for a lively, energetic resort, this may not be the right choice. However, if you appreciate a quiet and relaxing holiday, you'll probably enjoy it very much.

Final Thoughts: Overall, we had a great stay. The rooms, beach, pool, beach bar and Alibaba restaurant were all excellent. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is the quality and presentation of the food in the main buffet restaurant. Improving this one aspect would significantly enhance the overall guest experience.

We are currently still staying at the hotel, but I have to say that our experience has been far below our expectations considering the high rating and the positive reviews.

The most disappointing issue is that there is ongoing construction work on the beach. Even while guests are relaxing there in the morning, the construction continues. We came here to relax and enjoy some peace and quiet (we even specifically chose an adults-only hotel for that reason), but the constant construction noise on the beach is very disturbing.

The cocktails are unfortunately very poor. I was not satisfied with either the cleanliness or the taste of the drinks. Every time we order the same cocktail or mocktail, we receive something completely different. It seems that everyone prepares them in their own way, with no consistent recipe or quality. The hotel definitely needs to improve its bar service and provide better training for the staff.

I also can’t say that the food is particularly tasty. You can always find something to eat, but the quality and flavor are not what we expected.

Some of the staff are very friendly and welcoming, while unfortunately the same cannot be said for others.

If you ask whether I would come back, unfortunately my answer would be no.
