A Holiday to Remember – We Will Definitely Be Back!

We have just returned from an incredible stay at Rixos Sharm El Sheikh, and I can honestly say it is one of the best all-inclusive holidays we’ve had.

Arrival & Check-in We arrived at around 11pm and were checked in very quickly. The reception staff were friendly, welcoming and informative, making the whole process effortless after a long journey. We were then taken to our room in Block 3 by golf buggy, which was a lovely touch.

When booking through TUI, we were able to make three requests: a pool view (despite booking a garden view), a low-floor room, and that we were celebrating our anniversary. We hadn’t mentioned our anniversary again after booking, but were delighted to find that every one of our requests had been granted. It was such a thoughtful surprise and started the holiday perfectly.

The Room Our room was immaculate and stayed that way throughout our stay thanks to the excellent housekeeping team. It was cleaned every day, the minibar was restocked daily, and the air conditioning was outstanding – something we really appreciated in the Egyptian heat. We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better room or location.

Food & Restaurants After unpacking, we headed to the Palm Buffet Restaurant, and what a fantastic first impression it gave us. The choice of food is incredible and caters for absolutely everyone. If you can’t find something you like here, I’d be amazed!

We booked all of our à la carte restaurants through the app without any issues. The BBQ restaurant (Mangal) and the steak restaurant are understandably very popular, but Guest Relations were more than happy to help secure bookings if needed. We genuinely struggled to choose a favourite because every restaurant we visited was superb.

Pools, Grounds & Service The hotel grounds are huge, but getting around couldn’t be easier thanks to the constant golf buggies. Just hop on and they’ll take you wherever you want to go.

We spent most days relaxing at the Oasis Pool because it was peaceful and close to our room. The staff there absolutely made our holiday. A special thank you to Yussef and the waiter on roller skates – they were simply outstanding. Their energy, friendliness and attention to detail were second to none. If they worked for me, I’d be incredibly proud to have them on the team. They genuinely helped make our holiday so special.

There were constant little touches throughout the day too – staff bringing around crisps, ice creams, slush drinks, fresh fruit and more. I’d worked hard and lost two stone before coming away… I’m fairly sure I’ve put some of it back on!

A big thank you also to the towel attendant at the Oasis Pool, who looked after us every morning with a smile.

The hotel grounds are immaculate. Everywhere is spotless, beautifully maintained, and every member of staff acknowledges you with a smile or greeting as you walk past.

Beach Area Just a two-minute walk from the pool is the beach, where you’ll find a lovely beach bar, an ice cream parlour, a coffee shop and a detox bar. Again, the service was excellent everywhere we went.

One Small Negative My only criticism—and I’m really being picky—is that people were smoking while in the swimming pool, which wasn’t something I particularly enjoyed. That certainly didn’t spoil our holiday, but it would be nice if this could be discouraged.

Overall We’ve been fortunate enough to enjoy many holidays in the Caribbean over the years, and I can honestly say this hotel is every bit as good. The management team deserves enormous credit because the hotel is run exceptionally well, and it shows in every aspect of the guest experience.

I’m not someone who usually returns to the same hotel twice because I like trying new places, but Rixos has completely changed my mind. We would return without hesitation.

Thank you to everyone at Rixos for giving us such a wonderful anniversary holiday. We made memories that will stay with us for a very long time, and we can’t wait to visit again.
