Travelled with Tui. Summary - Room issues. Not what I know as all inclusive. Poor food offering if not a fan of Russian or Arabic food. Great grounds and beach. I would say not 4 star.
Arriving late at night we were shown to our room - booked deluxe double, got a tired room with 3 single beds and an aircon unit which knocked all night. I got almost no sleep. We complained to our rep and were promised a room change which we did not get (no need for the full story). Complained direct to Tui and got a room change for our third night to at least a double in better condition but still not "deluxe" by any stretch. We were made to sign that we were happy with the replacement room and the following day workmen started to take up a tiled floor in the room next door. For two days!
All inclusive drinks does not include wine. Beer in small plastic cups (max two per visit to the bar) and local spirits , also in small plastic cups. Intermittent availability of diet Coke. Drinks often warm but not sure if the ice was safe. No glasses even in the restaurant. Had to grab a china cup while they were there in the restaurant as otherwise only cardboard cups.
Food very definitely slanted towards Eastern European or Arabic guests. Grilled meat or fish, a variety of salads and rice available at lunch and dinner but could get boring if you stayed more than a week. Hubby lived on chicken and chips. Good selection of sweets - European and Arabic style. No English Breakfast which my husband missed. Coffee only at breakfast or in reception so no coffee with sweet. We tried two of the A La Carte restaurants - neither good.
All inclusive ends with the room at 12 noon even though our flight arrival and departure was late evening. They wanted an extra $20 per person for the last day food. Pointed this out to Tui who say it is up to the hotel and we should have known this although it was not in the listing. Never had it any where before (including in another hotel in Sharm last year).
Good points - the grounds of the hotel were lovely. 9 pools to choose from and the gardens and outside areas were well cared for. The room attendant in our first room was extremely helpful and attentive, we felt bad leaving. The room attendants in the second room were less visible.
The beach was my high point. Shallows to paddle in or snorkel and swim with the colourful fish. Hubby spotted quite a few without needing to swim. The jetty allows you to get in the water outside the reef and see a greater variety of fish. Not always open if the sea was too rough but did manage to get in several times. Quite a walk to the beach but there is a shuttle for part of it, and we were aware of this so no problem.
Recommend going outside the hotel for trips. There are many excursion agencies locally. We booked quad bike safari and a boat trip to Tiran island for snorkelling and a trial dive. Good prices and excellent trips. Take some of your own food in case what is provided doesn't suit.
The people who make this hotel truly special ❤️
After spending almost a month at Rehana Sharm Resort with my family, I really want to express my appreciation to the amazing pool team — the lifeguards, towel station staff, pool cleaners, and everyone who works so hard every single day.
These people do an incredible job! From morning until evening, they are constantly on their feet, making sure everything is clean, safe, and well organized. The pools are always well maintained, fresh towels are available, and whenever you need anything, someone is always happy to help.
As a mother of a small child, I especially appreciate the lifeguards. They are always attentive, constantly watching the pool areas, and taking their responsibilities seriously. It gives me an extra sense of comfort knowing that such a caring and responsible team is around.
A special thank you to Eslam, who helps coordinate the lifeguard team. I honestly don’t know how he manages to be everywhere at once! He’s constantly checking everything, helping guests, solving problems, and making sure things run smoothly. His dedication and hard work are truly impressive.
During our entire stay, we haven’t had a single negative experience with this team. Only kindness, patience, professionalism, and genuine willingness to help.
Their work is incredibly demanding, and I think it’s important to recognize the people who put so much effort into making everyone else’s holiday enjoyable.
After almost a month, these people have become such a familiar and wonderful part of our everyday life here.
Thank you to the entire team for your hard work, kindness, and care. You truly deserve all the appreciation and recognition!
A hotel is not made special by its stars, but by its people. And you have some truly wonderful people here! ❤️
Be prepared is all I can say, if you know what to expect then you go with eyes open. To be fair we only paid 2 grand for two weeks as an couple, all inclusive so we accepted we would get what we paid for, or expected to.
Firstly the room we paid for is not what we got, we paid for super lux but got a tired, dated and basic room, hey travelled before so appreciate the brochure isn’t always what you get, so grin and bear it, after all we only sleep there! Our room was directly opposite the sky bar so late night thumping music lasted until around 1030- at which point the travelling Russians take over, singing and shouting until at least 0300 at which point they fall over and the night settles down. Our room was serviced every day, by that I mean the beds were made, not changed, just made, we had the fancy towel art to encourage us to tip which we did, tips don’t buy you a clean bed, just a crocodile with petals on it! The cleaners won’t leave you water when they visit your room, they bring that when you get back, again in an attempt to open the wallet.
It’s Egypt so if you have travelled before then the all inclusive meals are what you will have encountered before, rice, salads, chicken and different versions of the same beef dish, to be fair I am a fussy eater but always found something to tide me over, the restaurants are always busy so be prepared for food to go cold whilst you wonder around looking for a table, the one you find won’t always have cutlery so find that before you take a seat.
The food court that opens at 1530 - 1700 is probably the better lunch option, pizza, fish and chips , salad and drinks.its quieter and less rushed.
Been to Egypt many times and encountered the Russian traveller but some of these lot are another level, kids running around like they are feral, parents are rude, will push in and bump you out they way as if it belongs to them, every meal will see them with plates stacked high and left as waste when they have had their fill. I am sure we just got unlucky with our fellow guests and it’s unfair to tarnish a country through some of its people but this lot were directly out of shameless.
Reception staff are the rudest I have ever encountered, even a simple question makes you walk away feeling like you have been scolded for daring to interrupt their day, same applies to the reception bar, unless you have a tip in your hand expect to wait.
All drinks are served in thin plastic cups, I called them two sips, after this you go back to the bar and repeat the process until you become tired or hacked off.
We spent most of our time around the adult only pool and this is the saving grace for the holiday , the pool guy was amazing, nothing ever a bother and he tries his hardest all day to make your day go without a hitch. Our tips went his way mostly and for making the day around a pool worth it. The bar guy at this pool was hit and miss, some days ok, others a nightmare- we nick named him Mario ten minutes, would take your order then disappear to serve other people( Russians and Italians) because he could speak both I guess.
We came for the weather and to relax, in fairness we did both but sadly the relaxation was only to recharge before we wanted to eat or get a drink, then the frustration took over.
We met some great folk during our two weeks and they did make the holidays more enjoyable.
Would I come back to Egypt, yes but in a few years, would I come back to Rehana Sharm? Not a chance!!
Amazing Stay with Wonderful Staff!
We had an amazing stay at Rehana Resort! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and always willing to help. They truly went above and beyond to make our holiday enjoyable and stress-free.
We were travelling with our 6-month-old son, and I cannot thank the staff enough for how kind and accommodating they were. They made everything so much easier for us as a family, always making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed.
The hospitality really stood out and made our stay extra special. Every member of staff we encountered was lovely, attentive and genuinely caring.
A huge thank you to Syed and the entire team for making our family holiday such a wonderful experience. We felt very welcome and would happily return. Highly recommended, especially for families with young children!
A wonderful hotel, I came to Egypt for the first time and did not regret it at all, the staff is polite, friendly, the rooms are bright, the sea is nearby, special respect to the animators, each one touched my soul in their own way Bambino speaks excellent Russian and was a translator when the guys and I couldn't understand each other. They're bright, cheerful, and young; you don't feel like you're a stranger, everything's great!
