IL Mercato promenade is an inspired creation from well-known Italian architect Daniele Morelli. Professor Morelli, a Renaissance expert who studied at the prestigious Accademia delle Belle Arti in Florence, is famed for his ability to accurately create contemporary buildings that are informed by iconic classical Roman and Venetian architecture that share the same sense of style, time and place.

Best holiday ever
I absolutely love this Hotel, we have stayed there the last 2 years over Christmas and New year and we are going back this year in December 2026 for 23 nights. The Hotel is great, the food is lovely and the Staff are the most friendliest we have come across in all of the hotels we have stayed at. One person of many who stood out for us was the DJ Cash. He played great music by the Pool where animation staff had guests up and dancing by the Pool side and then there was the evening entertainment on the Roof Bar. Cash played great music in the run up to the Animation Team doing party games with all the guests. Also playing music for some of the quizzes whereby we had to name the singer and name the song. Then when the Animation Team had finished Cash DJ'd for the Disco after. Everyone was up 💃 🕺 dancing. Also he knew my favourite song "Water" by Tyler who every evening Cash would play it for me without me asking ❤️ now whenever I hear that song I always think of my wonderful holiday at il Mercato, Sharm El Sheikh. BEST DJ of any hotel we have stayed at! He is also so friendly and comes to chat with us whenever he has a minute. We cannot wait to be back in December to see him and make fantastic memories once again. Jay & Julie ❤️

On arrival hotel looks beautiful lobby also beautiful! Reception staff were lovely on arrival.
Room very big but also in bad need of renovation!! Bathroom door doesnt close and toilet flusher kept breaking. Place could be cleaner on arrival as we had last guests slippers under bed and floor needed mopped.
Honestly instead of building new things onto hotel i would redecorate what needs done with main hotel as the hotel could be amazing!
Pools fab i loved that i haven’t to get up early to get a sunbed this was a big bonus!
First day in dining room unbelievable rude guests that were there on day passes! They tend to take over dining room and no concept of queues! Will push into u no like your not even there!! Obviously this has nothing to do with hotel but maybe look into queue system to improve this! Get there when opens as if u go later its a cattle market!
Staff in restaurant and bars unbelievably friendly and couldn’t do enough for us they deserve the 5 star rating. Ahmed definitely couldnt do enough for us!
Onto our last few days i took very sick and was unable to leave my room!! I cant be 100 per sure what it was but have fair idea.
Check out Anna assisted us get our room onto till 3pm she is a very helpful lady!
Other than that we had a fairly good time and u get what u pay for!

Just returned from this hotel. First time in Egypt. Will return but never to this hotel. Anytime we left the hotel the vibes flowed again. Very deceptive to advertisement. Arrived approx at 20.30 and was unable to access a suitable room until 10.30-11pm. Actually cried on the first evening. Took 4 days to get some towels for the bathroom. Fridge didn't work. Asked repeatedly but gave up. Air con was excellent. Staff worked very hard but felt very discriminated against as a single parent there. Felt extremely unwelcome. No explanation of what the hotel provided etc on arrival or even the all inclusive options at the beach. Food was brilliant. Shaima at the spa is a beautiful lady inside and out. Made the best of it. Stay away unless you like to give your money away and be told what to do. Not a relaxing hotel. Anna on reception has excellent customer service and is really attentive. Definitely returning to Egypt but will try a different hotel
