Sheraton Sharm Hotel

We absolutely loved the location it’s beautiful here. We are sad about going home. Our room was spotless and cleaned when we wanted it. The food was really nice though I would have loved a little more variety each evening. You can tell the hotel really tries to cater for everyone though we ate perfectly every single night. Dessert was one of my favourites.

Massive shoutout to Omar at the main pool bar he was absolutely brilliant, we loved seeing him each day. The entertainment team were amazing too so much energy getting everyone involved in pool games and dancing on the beach. Such a fun friendly atmosphere.

The value for staying 11nights was just the perfect amount couldn’t have got more for your money.

We heard no building works going on it was quite a calm and relaxed stay due to not being in peak season but loved every minute. We will be booking again for next year.

Hotel first impression was amazing. Not surprised at the extent of security, which made me feel safe. Man on security very friendly as past experience and things I heard made me a little wary on arrival. Daughter had to see hotel DR as local pharmacist would not deliver creams for mosquito bites! The ones we bought did not work.

Daughter and I went to the old market very disappointed by the hotel limousine guy (basically a normal taxi you would get at home, nothing special) had to haggle him down as he wanted to charge UK tourists £25.00 which is more than European €25 and American tourists $25. Also £25 for a two way 15 min trip (daughters husband UK taxi driver was not happy) local taxi was about £5 each way (300 Egyptian pounds).

Room just as advertised was very nice, cleanliness not to my standard (found slime under marble top on sink). Aircon even on low was great could not fault it. View spectacular even when it was thundering and lightening.

Lobby was stunning and found staff mostly polite and helpful although we did have one rude barman at the beach bar. Lobby bar and moonlight bar however on first day after the experience of a rude first drink made us feel very very welcome.

Typical of hotel shops very very expensive, however really disappointed that we could not buy bottled water or bottle of cola, orange or lemonade.

Man made beach but did not disappoint, if you come here ask for a red flag when you get your towels as you are hounded to distraction by people selling all kinds of things. Unfortunately, I became a bit rude which is not me but all I wanted was to relax.

Was a little perturbed by the fact that when leaving the hotel we had to have our bands cut off (the all inclusive blue band) but spoke to a very nice manager who asked what time we arrived in Egypt and if we had had lunch on arrival. Thankfully we did not and we were allowed lunch before we were picked up from the hotel to travel home, being diabetic this was a god send as it would have been gone 6.30pm before I could get something to eat.
