Sunrise Tucana- amazing resort!
Having recently stayed at the Sunrise Tucana I feel I must share our experience. Originally booked to stayed at the Royal Makadi, we were upgraded on arrival to the Tucana and we couldn't thank them enough! The hotel, rooms and grounds are spotless. So much choice of things to do, places to eat and drink and the quality of food is outstanding!
Every member of staff, from the entertainment team to maintenance & gardens will always greet you with a smile and welcome and are incredibly hardworking.
A special thanks must go to Mohammed our waiter in Lucina, such a genuinely lovely man, always looked after us and so professional - a credit to the resort, Mo who was housekeeper in block 30, always greeted us with a save & smile and kept our room spotless, Mahmood at the Island bar works tirelessly to keep drinks flowing (& people hydrated!!!) & also Mina- who has a very important job keeping the resort stocked with drink! and has shared love of good whiskey with my husband.
Anyone considering booking the Tucana- do it! We will definitely return asap and can't wait to be "welcomed home" again!

Continu hele goede service van mahmoud
This is a great relaxing hotel and the service from mahmoud the waiter arround the pool is the best i dont understand why he is not a manager of de bar he is so calm and knows what to do more.

We’ve just returned from a 10 day holiday staying at Sunrise Tucana, and what a holiday it’s been! 🇪🇬☀️
My wife and I are fairly well travelled, but we can honestly say this is one of the best all-round hotels we have ever stayed in. From start to finish, it was faultless.
The hotel itself is beautifully laid out and absolutely spotless, but what really makes this place special is the staff. Collectively, they are among the best we have ever experienced anywhere in the world. So friendly, welcoming and accommodating, they genuinely make you feel special, and spending time here was an absolute pleasure.
I could mention so many members of the team, but a special mention has to go to Tarek, Mahmoud, Abdel Rahman, Abdel Kariam,Mamdouh and , Yousse Araralden Par Lysena, Ibrahiam aka Denzel Washington! 😂👏 You all helped make our holiday even more memorable.
Fantastic food, exceptional service, beautiful surroundings and a team that goes above and beyond, what more could you ask for?
In short, Sunrise Tucana is an absolute gem! 💎 We’ve loved every minute of our stay and are already planning to return early next year.

An absolutely amazing experience!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An absolutely amazing experience!
Everything about Sunrice Tucana was fantastic. The service is outstanding, and the staff truly go above and beyond to make you feel special. The rooms are spacious and beautiful with a large bathroom, a lovely balcony, and a minibar that is restocked daily.
The entire resort is spotless, with staff constantly keeping everything clean. Even by the pool, you're treated like royalty, with drinks, fresh fruit, and snacks brought right to your sunbed. Whatever you ask for, they will do their best to make it happen!
The à la carte food is delicious, with different menus every day and food available practically around the clock. The waiters and managers are all incredibly friendly and welcoming.
We had an amazing stay and couldn't have asked for a better experience. A true five-star resort where hospitality really makes the difference. Highly recommended!

Great, but could be improved
My partner and I spent 10 nights at this resort during October 2026.
The positives of the hotel far outweigh the negatives, so I'll give a fair review based on our experience.
On arrival our room was upgraded, which is always welcome. The room (29101) was spacious and immaculate, and was cleaned to a very high standard every day. The hotels buildings and restaurants are beautifully presented and the grounds are maintained as well as I've seen at any hotel. The staff around the pools, the lifeguards and restaurant staff are really friendly and accommodating - nothing appears too much trouble for them. The booking system works well once you get to grips with it, and all the drinks are good quality, and plentiful, should you wish.
Now for the only real negative regarding the hotel. The food, whilst tasty, is served warm at best. It's a totally personal preference, but if you choose a hot dish it should be exactly that. We didn't complain as we don't like to make a fuss, but it did limit what we ordered as we didn't trust seafood that was lukewarm.
All in all we had a good time. If the food had been better we'd return in a heartbeat, as every other amenity and service provided was of a good standard.
