Stella Di Mare Gardens Resort and Spa

Let’s start with the good points Hotel was very big at least 7 pools plenty of sunbeds the staff worked tirelessly always friendly. The animation team also did a fantastic job . Rooms was very spacious with a large shower separate bath with a shower in there if you wanted kettle hairdryer all there fridge you was left 2 bottles of water each day .

Now the bad points ( in my eyes ) The food wasn’t the best in the main dinning room always cold even went at 6.30 still the same at busy times it was like feeding time at the zoo not enough staff on to clear tables etc . Breakfast was very poor the 4 restaurants you can use Chinese Indian Italian Lebonise They was all very good better then the main restaurant. The taxi service what gets offered book with caution mine never picked us up for the return had to book another taxi cost us 25usd I did complain the next day and got 15 usd back . On departure day they was no rooms to book got told to use the spa for showers so that’s what we did but it was shocking 2 showers for the men eventually when the que went down I got a shower but there is nowhere to put your clean clothes so you have to have someone waiting outside lucky for me I did but then when you come out the shower cubical you have to get dried in front of a urine pot honestly the service stations on the motorways in the uk are better . I would say this hotel needs a lot of work doing for there paying customers and listen to what they say or ask we all pay good money . I would say this hotel is probably a 3 star maximum never a 5 what they advertise

Pros:

Beautiful from Outside/well kept gardens and 3 pool areas

Beach nearby is Beautiful to go swimming/snorkleing

Location of room right near pool so no need to get sunbed.

Cons:

Dirty room, hair and dirt in bath upon arrival, dirt all over the bathroom door. Hair on the bed. Blood stains on curtain near patio. Fridge broken and smells and is filthy.

Cats ( I love them BUT ) so many had given birth and I worry they won't get done and continue to keep getting pregnant.

Food is awful. Rice and wet soggy beef every night. Salad was meh. We both got sick we ended up missing some trips we booked due to sickness. I got a awful headache and my husband went to shop on site to find some medication. None. So he asked reception who said he can get from the clinic in hotel for a fee. No problem. He got there and they told him to wait 5 mins. 20 mins later nothing. He goes back inside asks and they said no we can't give you anything we only help for emergencies so he had to get on the shuttle but go own to the other hotel/beach area to find the pharmacy there to get tablets. Not helpful atall.

Food/buffet room full of rude people ( not staff most of them were okay ) but other holidaymakers walked round like they owned the place. Germans and Russians mainly.

Some staff were lovely but some were abrupt rude and blunt. One reception guy we asked to do late checkout and how much etc just enquiries you know. He didn't even look at us. Acted like we were an inconvenience. Using one word answers. Come on guys? We've paid to have a nice holiday not be treated like a damn nuisance for asking a question.

Glasses 🥂 so small, would be better to make them bigger to people don't keep asking you to top up. Or plastic paper kids cups that doesn't quench my thirst. Desserts all rank tasted the same. Cheap. I'm not even fussy when it comes to food but the food here was terrible.

Went to SPA to ask about treatments. 3 men sat at desk not one of them smiled. We looked at the leaflet and discussed prices they couldn't be assed tbh. So we just left. A few days later a man by the pool gave us discount for SPA so we decided to do it.

We got the full package and was told I'd have a woman and my husband would have a man for the massages/washes.

Massage from her was lovely. My husband had his by the man and that was lovely too.

After massage we went to a big steam type room and told to lay on the tiles and they do this special wash. Well it was awful soap all in my eyes ( not her fault ) but then SHE washed my husband. When we were told it would be the man. We didn't want to be rude so just let her but I felt very uncomfortable and then she proceeded to flirt with him by putting bubbles on his nose and giggling right in front of me?! My husband said uh no sister don't do that. I kept calm bevause she was young and I don't think she meant any harm but it's not very professional. The wash was just pointless felt like a beached whale laying there on tiles having soap and water all over me. Definitely don't recommend that. The massage was good though. They don't give you robes you have to walk THROUGH reception with wet swim clothes and a towel to get changed. The changing room. Isn't private and she stood there whilst we got changed?!

Overall just found it basic, rude staff ( not all but it really does ruin the experience when your made to feel like a nuisance) drinks taste funny. Always after money.

Entertainment is poor. Young girls dancing on stage doing model competition?! Popcorn and candy floss charg is extra.

I wouldn't come here again to be honest. I'm not fussy but we wanted to go home half way in the week.

Hotel not close to anything. Hurghada town shopping 35 min away and we went and it was full of rubbish, dirty. Shops scam. The bazzar there want £65 for two small teddies, 2 mini water globes and a key ring. Should of been about £15 at most.

Just feels like money money money. Full of Germans and Russians. Rude

Also when selling the holiday they show pictures of their sister hotel ( stella beach ) which are completely different.

The best part of this holiday was the pretty views and beach. If you want to feel sick and waste money then come here 🙃

Me and my boyfriend stayed there for 2 weeks and arrived home this morning. The staff were super friendly and helpful and gave everything you needed. The animation team were such a laugh and always involved you and made you feel welcome. The rooms were always clean and well looked after, the cleaners were amazing.

You could always get snacks/drinks as and when you needed and there were things to do around the resort ie Pool/Billiards.

We would definitely visit this resort again!
