I'm happy about the hotel and I'm so happy about doctor mina atef who is the hotel clinic . He is really the best doctor I have ever seen in my life. He is so kind and friendly and also so smart and explained for us everything in details and treated me very well. I recommend anyone who want medical help you should go for him immediately and he will help you for sure.
Just had 11 nights here and it is wonderful, the food, the beach and the sea all fabulous and we will be coming back.
However just a few little niggles that I believe other people have experienced also. On arrival after 10pm, we are greeted with a curse 'passports', no offer of a cool drink or a smile, then the receptionist went through the map and started making squiggles and crosses super fast, clearly we are not taking this in. He then got out his Sterling and Euro notes for me to change for him to smaller denominations, I wasn't quite sure what he wanted and he seemed a bit annoyed that I was getting flustered. He asked if we wanted food sending to room as the restaurants are closed, we said Yes, but then they never sent any. So first impressions of hotel not great.
We booked the last two nights in a villa, which are wonderful. We were told to be in reception with suitcases as 9am, and they would see if villa ready, then told to come back at 10am, then told to come back at midday, at which point we moved the suitcases back to the room, as we got the impression they wanted us to hand in keys and towel cards so they could re-allocate room. Upon checking with Villa reception they said defo not ready until 3pm. Westbay reception could have told us that in the first place and we would just have got on with our day.
Check out instruction is a shambles. We agreed with Villa reception that we could keep the villa until 1.30pm, at which point someone would come and fetch the cases. So we waited at 1.30pm, no-one came, so I called reception after 10 minutes, who said they are waiting for us to be in reception and to leave the cases outside. At reception Ahmed the 'reception Manager' spoke to us like we had deliberately tried to stay longer, when in fact we had been sitting waiting at the stated time, so last impression of hotel was being told off.
I think that the reception staff do not have to be nice to people as they know the place is lovely and people will return, so no shortage of customers.
There is an excellent doctor at the hotel, Dr Mina Atef, whose expertise and care saved our vacation. Walking into the sea, we found ourselves in an aquarium, an unforgettable experience, combined with the atmosphere of the hotel and the kindness of the staff there.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Fantastic hotel with beautiful surroundings and plenty of space to relax. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent with a great variety. Everything was clean, well organized, and made for a wonderful holiday. I would definitely recommend Fort Arabesque and would love to come back!
We arrived 2 a.m after a delay in Manchester .We checked in and they put us in the family side . I had paid over £200 extra to stay in the west wing . The receptionist said don't worry you can use all the facilities in the other area . I explained that my husband had a back injury and couldn't walk far but the receptionist insisted that the West wing was over booked and we may get a room available next week . I was fuming and contacted tui straight away the hotel said that I was in the correct room but I emailed my booking form over and they said they would sort it .The next morning a room was available after 12 noon in the other area , but we wasted our first morning we couldn't go to far because of my husband's injury. The other thing that annoyed me was the other couple waiting behind us gave the receptionist their passport with a large tip and they were upgraded to the west wing sea view that night . When I chatted with them a few days later they said they were repeat guests and if you don't tip you won't get the room you paid for originally. All this left a bad taste in my mouth especially since I was so looking forward to The holiday. After the second day we did enjoy ourselves Mamon in the quiet pool was amazing and looked after us well . Mustafa the life guard spoilt us both, nothing was too much trouble for him . The restaurant staff were lovely. And the beach was amazing . I wouldn't return to this hotel as I am in the Facebook group and overbooking is normal which is so disappointing.
